Large-diameter inrush current limiters for high-watt applications
TDK Corporation presents the P27 series of EPCOS NTC inrush current limiters (ICLs) with a nominal disk diameter of 27mm and lead spacing of 7.5mm, thus extending the portfolio of large NTC ICLs for industrial electronics applications. The high material density of the NTC ICLs enables a volume-efficient, high-performance design with a disk thickness of just ≤7mm.
High voltage options expand DC/DC converter range
TDK Corporation has announced an extension to the PH-A280 series of high voltage inputDC/DC converters. Capable of operating from 200 to 425VDC, the 3.3, 15 and 28V output power modules are suitable for use in datacentres, telecomms and renewable energy applications utilising a 380V nominal high voltage DC bus.
Low profile Point of Load DC-DC
The iAH series of 40A Point of Load (POL) non-isolated DC-DC converters from TDK Corporation measure 10.2mm high with a 33mm x 13.5mm footprint. The iAH demonstrates an increase in output current of 100% compared to TDK-Lambda’s similarly sized iAF series. The iAH series is suited for a number of applications including datacom, telecom, industrial, broadcast and test and measurement equipment.

Multilayer inductors with 'world's highest' Q
TDK Corporation announces the MHQ0402PSA series of multilayer inductors in case size IEC 0402. Measuring in with reduced dimensions of just 0.4x0.2x0.2mm, the inductors feature a Q factor of 21 at 1GHz, the highest value for any multilayer inductor of its size, making them suitable for RF applications in smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices.
DC/DC converter delivers 20A from 5 & 12V bus voltages
TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the iBH series of 80W, 20A Point of Load (POL) non-isolated DC/DC converters, featuring a wide 0.7 to 5.5V output adjustment range. The iBH converters can operate from either 5 or 12Vdc bus voltages, having a wide input voltage range of 3.5 to 14V, reducing inventory carrying costs by stocking just one part number.
Qualcomm & TDK form joint venture to provide RF front-end solutions
Qualcomm Incorporated and TDK Corporation have announced an agreement to form a joint venture to enable delivery of RF front-end (RFFE) modules and RF filters into fully integrated systems for mobile devices and fast-growing business segments, such as IoT, drones, robotics, automotive applications and more, under the name RF360 Holdings Singapore PTE (RF360 Holdings).
Programmable DC power supplies offer 10 & 15kW outputs
Expanding its Genesys series of programmable DC power supplies, TDK-Lambda has announced eight models with output voltages of 800, 1,000, 1,250 and 1,500V and with output powers of 10 or 15kW. These high voltage devices are suited for applications in the OEM, industrial, defence & aerospace, alternative energy and ATE markets including semiconductor and automotive test and component test/burn-in.
SESUB technology cuts Bluetooth module by 60 per cent
The SESUB-PAN-D14580 Bluetooth v4.1 module from TDK is now being shipped by Mouser Electronics. The ultra-compact, Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy (LE) micro module is the world’s smallest module for Bluetooth Smart devices. The 3.5mm × 3.5mm × 1mm SESUB-PAN-D14580 module is based on TDK’s proprietary Semiconductor Embedded in Substrate (SESUB) technology, reducing the size by 60 percent compared to modules using discrete compone...
