Digital control improves PoL converter response
PoL, non-isolated DC/DC converters with PMBus communication are available from TDK-Lambda. Digital control enables the converters to provide an improved dynamic transient response, says the company. It is also claimed to provide an improved dynamic transient response and system stability, along with enhanced flexibility and the ability for customisation.
The development of cutting-edge plasma solutions
TDK Corporation is cooperating with relyon plasma GmbH on the joint development and manufacture of application-specific plasma components and systems. Based in Regensburg, Germany, relyon plasma is a European R&D leader and manufacturer in plasma technologies. The key component in the jointly developed systems will be the TDK CeraPlas, a new kind of piezo-based cold plasma generator.
Capacitors offer extended operating voltage up to 530V AC
Now available in Europe through TTI is TDK’s new series of EPCOS X1 capacitors which have been designed for an extended operating voltage of up to 530V AC. The parts are suited for EMI suppression in X1 circuits (L-N). The types in the B32911 through to B32918 series cover a broad capacitance range from 1nF to 5.6µF.
First aid: Power supplies target medical applications
Over 40 power supplies targeted at medical applications from TDK-Lambda have been added to Conrad Business Supplies’ product portfolio which now extends to over 60 line items. The power supplies portfolio addresses the specific needs of the medical sector in applications such as diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, laboratory and analysis equipment, home care and patient monitoring.
10A board mount EMC filter offers differential mode performance
TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the iDQ series of 10A, 48Vdc nominal EMC filter modules. With high on-board capacitance, the filters are suitable for use with DC/DC converters, minimising the need for external components and thus saving on PCB area.
65W medical external power supplies have Class II input
TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the DTM65-C8 series of medically certified 40-65W Class II external power supplies. Certified to the IEC 60601-1 & 60601-1-11 medical standards, the products have 4,000Vac isolation from input to output and require no ground wire connection. The series is intended to power a range of hospital, dental and home healthcare products for monitoring, imaging and diagnostic applications.
The changing landscape of wireless charging
Developments in the rapidly evolving wireless charging market are improving the technology’s speed and efficiency, but a confusing standards situation is still holding things back, writes Sally Ward-Foxton.
PoL DC/DC converters offer up to 97% efficiency
Featuring a wide 0.7 to 8.5V output adjustment range, a series of 12A PoL non-isolated DC/DC converters has been introduced by TDK-Lambda. The iCH series can operate from either a 5 or a 12VDC bus voltage, avoiding the need to stock multiple part numbers.
