Sentinel recorder for military signal intelligence
Pentek has announced a major addition to its popular family of Talon signal recording and playback systems, the RTR 2654 26.5GHz RF Sentinel Intelligent Signal Scanning rackmount recorder for military signal intelligence. The RTR 2654 combines the power of a Pentek Talon Recording System with a 25.6GHz RF tuner and Pentek's Sentinel intelligent signal scanning software
AWGs deliver 24V output swings on up to 8 channels
The ability of Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWGs) to recreate virtually any waveshape makes them especially useful as signal generators in today’s sophisticated electronic systems. Spectrum Instrumentation recently released four new models in its generatorNETBOX family with output swings of up to 24V on up to 8 channels, to cover even the most demanding test applications.
Multi-channel AWGs solve signal generator cost problem
Designed for engineers and scientists that need to simultaneously generate multiple electronic test signals, Spectrum Instrumentation’s latest line of Arbitrary Waveform Generators offers 24 to 48 synchronous channels in a single rack-unit with a very economic cost-per-channel.
DesignCon debut for power supply test demonstration
Quartz crystal specialist Epson and test and measurement supplier Rohde & Schwarz have jointly developed a modern test procedure for measuring power supply noise rejection to bring clarity and precision to real-world signal integrity design challenges.
Oscilloscope lowers price of 12-bit resolution
The WaveSurfer 4000HD High Definition Oscilloscope (HDO) from Teledyne LeCroy is said to be the first in its class to feature 12-bit vertical resolution at all times, showing clean, crisp waveforms on a bright, 12.1in. touch screen display. WaveSurfer 4000HD is available in bandwidths from 200MHz to 1GHz, with sample rates of up to 5 GS/s and up to 12.5 Mpts of acquisition memory on each channel (25 Mpts interleaved).
Spectrum Instrumentation celebrates its 30th birthday
Spectrum Instrumentation has built a global enterprise since it was first founded 30 years ago in December 1989. The company uses a versatile modular design approach to create a wide range of digitiser and generator products as PC-cards (PCIe and PXIe) and stand-alone Ethernet (LXI) instruments. In 30 years, they have gained customers all around the world, including many universities. The company is headquartered near Hamburg, Germany.

It joins the DS1000Z family of digital oscilloscopes which target educators, entrepreneurs, hobbyists and embedded engineers. The new DS1202Z-E comes in a powerful 200MHz version for just $369.
Keysight Technologies at productronica 2019
At productronica 2019, Electronic Specifier’s Mick Elliot caught up with Keysight Technologies, where the company unveiled its new in-circuit tester, which is the only short wire option in circuit testing currently. By being short wire, the solution has the advantage of enabling high speed digital data and signals.
Getting ADAS from the lab to the tarmac
In recent years radar has established itself as a technology of increasing importance within the vehicle. Thanks to the efforts of the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP), assistance systems such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) are reflected in vehicle safety scores. This, along with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and other technologies, rely upon at least one long-range radar and will utilise further short-range radars.
