Anritsu are planning a webinar to aid preparation of the testing challenges of 5G. One of the company’s top experts will be discussing the 3GPP Release 15 and its potential impacts. The webinar will help attendees get to grips with the details of 3GPP 5G NR specification for R15. It will focus on 5G key concepts and protocol stack specification across all the layers. The webinar will take place on 12th February at 2.00pm GMT.
Anritsu team contributes to IEEE 1914.3 release
A team from Anritsu has been working within an IEEE standards committee to help develop and release standards for the switch to 5G networks. Following its first April 2016 meeting, the IEEE 1914 working group established, developed, and published the IEEE 1914.3 standard in October 2018. As a voting member of this team, Anritsu continues work on other areas within the working group.
Companies partner to pursue 5G SAR testing
PCTEST Engineering Laboratory will conduct SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) testing of 5G devices using Anritsu’sCommunication Test System MT8000A. The instrument will be used in PCTEST’s Columbia, MD, and San Jose, CA laboratories to emulate a 5G New Radio (NR) radio access network, providing mobile operators and device makers with an efficient means to conduct SAR testing, which is critical due to the imminent rollout of 5G NR technol...
5G Standalone connection test successfully completed
Successful 5G Standalone (SA) connection testing has been completed using Anritsu’s Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A and a mobile smartphone form-factor test device from Qualcomm Technologies, including the company’s 5G modem and antenna modules with integrated RF transceiver, RF front-end and antenna elements.
400GbE PAM4 BER measurements in one package
A 64-Gbaud PAM4 Pulse Pattern Generator (PPG) and 32-Gbaud PAM4 Error Detector (ED) has been announced by Anritsu. This PAM4 BERT supports 400GbE testing when these modules are installed in the Anritsu Signal Quality Analyser-R MP1900A series to implement a bit-error-rate test solution with best-in-class signal level quality and excellent Rx sensitivity for next-generation broadband communication systems.
Anritsu, Bluetest collaborate on 5G testing
Following their successful long-term collaboration in LTE OTA measurement solutions, Anritsu and Bluetest AB are extending the relationship to 5G testing. This includes the integration of Anritsu’s Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A and Bluetest’s OTA Reverberation Test System RTS65.
5G NR full stack IODT smooths path to rollout
Samsung’s System LSI Business has successfully completed 5G NR full stack IODT (Interoperability Development Testing) with its Exynos Modem 5100 using Anritsu’s Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A and protocol test/RF measurement software.
W1 coaxial components with frequency coverage
W1 coaxial components that are metrology-grade designed and manufactured to deliver precision performance and repeatability for high-frequency measurements have been introduced by Anritsu, comprised of a W1 connectorised power splitter, power divider, directional coupler and attenuators.
Signal quality analyser debuts at ECOC in Rome
Visitors to ECOC 2018 in Rome (24-26 September) will be able to see demonstrations of Anritsu’s 64GBaud PAM4 Pulse Pattern Generator for the MP1900A Signal Quality Analyser-R. The MP1900A series is a high-performance Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT) that accurately measures communications equipment, next-generation high-speed electronic and optical devices, including those for M2M and IoT applications, and optical transceivers used in high-end ...
