Software options cut 5G test costs
Software options have been released for Anritsu’s Signal Analyser MS269xA series that provide support for measuring the RF Tx characteristics of fifth-generation (5G) mobile communications base stations and terminals. These options support signal analyses and measurement of RF characteristics by supporting 3GPP-compliant sub-6GHz uplink and downlink signals and specifying 1 Component Carrier (1CC) up to a bandwidth of 100MHz.
Software allows ground-based PIM measurements
PIM over CPRI software has been introduced by Anritsu for its BTS Master MT8220T and MT822xB handheld base station analysers that allow passive intermodulation (PIM) measurements to be made from the ground for the first time. By eliminating the need for network operator installation and maintenance crews and contractors to climb the tower to test for PIM, this solution is a more cost- and time-efficient tool for ensuring optimal operation of wire...
Measurement option aids 5G device verification
What is said to be the industry’s first solution capable of conducting extensive characterisation of the differential noise figure of differential devices used in high-speed wireless communication systems has been introduced by Anritsu.
Test platform supports 5G chipset development
The MT8000A Radio Communication Test Station from Anritsu will be used by MediaTek as a prioritised test platform for the verification of standard-based 5G NR chipset targeting upcoming global 5G deployment. The two companies have a partnership to work on 5G development and physical layer verification.
Distribution channel for test and measurement solutions grows
It has been announced by Anritsu, provider of innovative test and measurement solutions, that they have signed a distribution agreement with AR Benelux, who provide solutions for EMC, Satcom, RF/µwave for the telecoms and defence industries. Under the terms of the new agreement, Anritsu’s test equipment will now also be available in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands through AR Benelux.
The transference of technologies is putting T&M solutions in the spotlight
There’s a lot of talk about how the IoT is shaking things up in the industrial and consumer sectors, but disruption isn’t limited to these two areas, writes Sam Darwish, Sales Director, Microlease. In truth, consolidation and the cross-propagation of technologies is a common theme in the electronics sector and one that is the source of significant change.
World-first claimed for 5G downlink carrier aggregation test aggregation
The LTE-Advanced RF Conformance Test System ME7873LA from Anritsu has obtained world-first PTCRB certification for RF Conformance Tests of 5G Downlink Carrier Aggregation (5DL CA) forming a key LTE-Advanced technology. The combination of the ME7873LA with PTCRB-approved 5DL CA and MIMO supports downlink throughput speeds of 1Gbps for a smooth transition to 5G with faster and larger data transmissions.
Collaboration demoes PCIe test solution at PCI-SIG
The Signal Quality Analyser-R MP1900A series and Compliance Test Solution from Anritsu which was developed in collaboration with Granite River Labs (GRL) and Teledyne LeCroy will be showcased at the PCI-SIG Developers Conference 2018 (June 5-6) in Santa Clara, California.
Software option enhances quality of WLAN equipment
A 2x2 MIMO Measurement Software MX886200A-010 option for its Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A has been released by Anritsu. This extends the measurement functions of the MT8862A to offer support for evaluating 2x2 MIMO WLAN equipment. Most devices requiring high data transmission rates, such as smartphones, tablets, PCs, etc., are now using MIMO technology to increase the data transmission speed.
