Anritsu team contributes to IEEE 1914.3 release
A team from Anritsu has been working within an IEEE standards committee to help develop and release standards for the switch to 5G networks. Following its first April 2016 meeting, the IEEE 1914 working group established, developed, and published the IEEE 1914.3 standard in October 2018. As a voting member of this team, Anritsu continues work on other areas within the working group.
Companies partner to pursue 5G SAR testing
PCTEST Engineering Laboratory will conduct SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) testing of 5G devices using Anritsu’sCommunication Test System MT8000A. The instrument will be used in PCTEST’s Columbia, MD, and San Jose, CA laboratories to emulate a 5G New Radio (NR) radio access network, providing mobile operators and device makers with an efficient means to conduct SAR testing, which is critical due to the imminent rollout of 5G NR technol...
5G Standalone connection test successfully completed
Successful 5G Standalone (SA) connection testing has been completed using Anritsu’s Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A and a mobile smartphone form-factor test device from Qualcomm Technologies, including the company’s 5G modem and antenna modules with integrated RF transceiver, RF front-end and antenna elements.
400GbE PAM4 BER measurements in one package
A 64-Gbaud PAM4 Pulse Pattern Generator (PPG) and 32-Gbaud PAM4 Error Detector (ED) has been announced by Anritsu. This PAM4 BERT supports 400GbE testing when these modules are installed in the Anritsu Signal Quality Analyser-R MP1900A series to implement a bit-error-rate test solution with best-in-class signal level quality and excellent Rx sensitivity for next-generation broadband communication systems.
