REO UK has brought high power brake resistors into the 21st century with its new REOHM series 155 braking resistors for industrial control cabinets. The product can deliver up to 3,500W of continuous power to drives with medium- and high-power frequency converters, with isolation voltages to 4.4kV, in a compact design that helps the product overcome the common problems with electrical braking resistors.

  The CSSH Series ultra high precision current sense chip resistor series from Stackpole has recently been expanded to include a 0.3mΩ value in the 2512 size. The CSSH2512 0.3mΩ part is available in tolerances as low as one percent and TCR is 150ppm, with a 3W power rating.

Panasonic Industry Europe has added a new long life surface mount type series to its product line of OS-CON Conductive Polymer-Aluminum-Solid Capacitors. Available with a rated voltage of 2.5VDC, 6.3VDC and 16VDC, SVPT products benefit from huge capacitance values (100µF up to 560µF) and low ESR characteristics (15-24mΩ max).

Pickering has signed a distribution deal with Testco, the specialist distributor of passive, electromechanical and interconnect components based in Sunnyvale, CA. This means that Pickering’s large range of reed relays for A.T.E. switching and semiconductor test is now available and supported by the distributor across North America.

Stackpole has increased the power rating of its popular RPC Series. The RPC-UP from Stackpole offers 0805 and 1206 size chip resistors with excellent pulse withstanding and high power ratings. RPC0805-UP is rated at 0.5W and 400V working voltage and the RPC1206-UP is rated at 0.75W and 500V.

Stackpole is now stocking 10M, 100M, 500M, 1G, and 10G ohm values of its HVAM axial leaded precision resistors. These resistors are designed for high voltage handling and high resistance values with power ratings from two to ten watts.

A series of miniaturised screw terminal aluminum capacitors that deliver 10% higher capacitance and 10% better ripple current handling for a given can size than previous-generation devices, has been released by Vishay. They allow designers to pack more energy storage into less space.

A range of anti-vibration aluminium electrolytic capacitors from Panasonic are now being shipped by Farnell. The components are suitable for use in DC/DC Converters and AC/DC converters in a wide variety of transportation and harsh-environment applications such as industrial, power supply and robotics, due to their small size, reliability and strong, dependable soldering connectability.

Exxelia Mil Wet Capacitors, which are in stock at New Yorker Electronics, are now qualified to Level P. The Exxelia MIL 39006/22 (equivalent to CLR79) series has received the P-Level qualification for 0,1% / 1,000h reliability, with voltage ranges from 6V to 125V and a capacitance value ranging from 1,7µF to 1200µF.
