A capacitor designed specifically for AC harmonic filtering or Power Factor Correction applications has been introduced by distributor New Yorker Electronics. The American Shizuki Capacitors (ASC) HCO/HCG Single Phase AC Filter Capacitor is engineered for input and output filtering in UPS, Motor Drives, LC/LCL Filtering, Wind and Solar Power and other power conversion technologies.

The release of the new Electrocube 958A Series of High Current DC Link Metallized Polypropylene Film Capacitors has been announced by New Yorker Electronics. Created with high-grade materials, the 958A capacitor series is designed for engineers in need of long life in high current power inverter applications under extreme operating conditions.

In recent years, renewable energy options have become much more efficient and feasible. This has led to a large adoption of these applications, an especially poignant point in the face of current environmental issues. However, just like all other power generation methods these applications require resistors.

Electrocube Audio-Optimised Film Capacitors in both the 916D Series of Metallised Polypropylene Capacitors and the 967D Polypropylene and Foil Audio Capacitors are available at New Yorker Electronics.These audio capacitors are intended for high-end audio applications and are available with tolerances available from ±1 to ±20%, voltages from 100 to 600VDC and frequencies up to 100KHz.

Automotive Grade Power Metal Plate shunt resistors featuring a 20W power rating in a 3939-size package with Kelvin terminals have been introduced by Vishay Intertechnology. With their high power density, the Vishay Dale hybrid-mount WFPA3939 and WFPB3939 are designed to save space, decrease component counts, and increase measurement accuracy in automotive, industrial, and AMS applications.

The range and complexity of electrical equipment has increased dramatically in recent years.
