Memory devices boast flexible erase & seamless partitioning
The introduction of the SST25WF020A, SST25WF040B and SST25WF080B devices signals an expansion of Microchip's SPI Serial Flash Memory portfolio. The devices offer 2-, 4- and 8-Mbit of memory and are manufactured with the company's SuperFlash technology and NOR Flash cell architecture.
Flash memory card will see users through to 2021
Swissbit has christened its new CompactFlash card the C-300 Longevity with good reason. The product’s long-term availability will take it through to at least 2021. The card targets applications in the telecommunications and networking market as well as applications requiring maximum longevity due to time-consuming and cost-intensive re-qualification processes.
Industry's fastest DDR4 performance in silicon of 2800Mb/s
Uniquify has claimed to have achieved the industry’s fastest DDR4 performance in silicon of 2800Mb/s. The combination of Uniquify’s adaptive DDR4 intellectual property (IP) and SK Hynix’s high-performance DDR4 SDRAM memory components is operating at 2800Mb/s in a system implemented using TSMC’s 28HPM process technology.
SATA SLC-lite SSDs for smartphones and tablet PCs
Offering 10 times longer service life than MLC with half price of SLC, the SATA SLC-lite series SSDs have been introduced by Apacer. The product boasts a transmission speed 1.5–3 times faster than MLC, close to that of SLC, and the highest SSD price/performance ratio, making it suitable for the upgrade of NAND flash in smartphones and tablet PCs.
Memory device boasts flexible read/write options
A parallel Flash memory device, the SST38VF6401B, has been launched by Microchip. Manufactured with the company's MOS SuperFlash technology, the SST38VF6401B is a 4M x16 CMOS Advanced Multi-Purpose Flash Plus (Advanced MPF+) device which conforms to JEDEC standard pin assignments for x16 memories.
SRAM design offers power promise
SureCore says that early testing of its innovative low power SRAM design confirms its simulations that deliver in excess of 50% power savings over other SRAM technologies. The tests prove that the patented circuit architecture developed by SureCore delivers greater than 50% power savings versus industry standard SRAMs. SureCore’s energy-efficient memory was designed through a unique combination of detailed circuit analysis, architectural im...
Embedded NAND flash memory module is UFS Ver. 2.0 compliant
Toshiba has claimed that it is the first in the industry to provide 32 and 64GB embedded NAND flash memory modules that are compliant with the JEDEC UFS (Universal Flash Storage) Ver. 2.0 standard. It supports maximum transfer rates up to 11.6Gb/s by integrating two 5.8Gb/s High-speed MIPI M-PHY HS-G3 I/F data lanes - an optional feature of UFS Ver. 2.0.
The world’s first 15nm process technology
Replacing second generation 19nm process technology (the company's former flagship process), Toshiba has developed what it claims to be the world’s first 15nm process technology. The chips achieve the same write speed as chips formed with second generation 19nm process technology, but boost the data transfer rate to 533Mb/s, 1.3 times faster, by employing a high speed interface.
Software tool addresses mobile needs in cloud computing
Apacer SSDWidget, is a real-time monitoring and diagnosis software tool to satisfy mobile needs in the cloud-computing era. It is designed for SSD current mainstream SATA 6.0 Gbps interfaces. Managers may connect several SSDs within the enterprise together, conduct instant monitoring via web browser or mobile App, and integrate attributes like erase times, unpredicted power failure times, SATA signal failure times, ECC failure times and data writ...
Pacy memory cards clock in at 30MB/s
Toshiba Electronics Europe is launching the world’s fastest microSD memory cards that are compliant with the ultra high speed serial bus interface UHS-II , as defined in SD Memory Card Standard Ver. 4.20. The new microSD memory cards will be available in 32GB and 64GB and achieve the fastest transfer rates of any microSD card.
