High purity CVD SiC suits semiconductor manufacture
Morgan Advanced Materials has announced the availability of high purity Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) SiC, a material suitable for semiconductor equipment components. Morgan offers precision-machined RTP edge rings along with gas distribution plates and focus rings for plasma etching. Also available are Metal Organic CVD (MOCVD) components used to manufacture LED lights.
Digital precision dispenser exerts extra control
The DC100, a newly launched digital precision dispenser manufactured by Fisnar is now on sale at Ellsworth Adhesives. The new dispenser represents an advancement in dispensing technology that allows the user more control over their dispensing applications, and it brings more functionality to the desktop dispenser.
Conductive adhesive offers fast low-curing temperature
Curing in 30 minutes at 80°C, three minutes at 100°C or 10 seconds at 150°C with an electrical conductivity of 4 x 10-5Ωcm, Engineered Material Systems' latest conductive adhesive, CA-180, is designed for die attach and general circuit assembly applications. CA-180 is suitable for temperature-sensitive applications, as well as those which require high conductivity interconnects.
Adhesive offers high strength & cryogenic serviceability
Combining simple handling properties with high strength, Master Bond Supreme 10HTF-1 is a single part adhesive/sealant for a variety of applications in the aerospace, electronic, optical, specialty OEM and related industries. At room temperature, this smooth paste system has an 'unlimited' working life and cures rapidly at elevated temperatures.
ZnO heterostructures yield GaAs-style quantum phase
Heterointerfaces composed of dissimilar materials have been applied to functional devices such as transistors and LEDs. In particular, the best-quality electron system is formed in gallium arsenide heterostructures, where a unique quantum phase was found at low temperature about 30 years ago, the characteristics of which have yet to be clarified.
16 different tribopolymer materials available from igus
Following significant investment, polymer bearings specialist igus now offers 16 different tribopolymer materials in standard DIN ISO 3547-1 dimensions up to diameters of 50mm. This amounts to over 13,000 plain bearings, available for delivery from stock within 24 hours.
High strength epoxy does not contain antimony
Engineered Material Systems is pleased to debut its 535-11M-7 UV cured epoxy, which has been developed to pass the rigorous reliability requirements in disk drive, camera module, photonics and circuit assembly applications. The non-conductive UV cured adhesive is low outgassing, flexible, high strength and does not contain antimony and cures rapidly when exposed to high intensity UV light.
Spot LED curing system packed into compact unit
The new Dymax BlueWave QX4, a high intensity spot curing system, is the latest product added to the portfolio of the distributor Ellsworth Adhesives Europe. The system has all the benefits of LED curing technology, contained within in a compact unit. It is comprised of a controller and up to four LED heads, which are available in 365, 385, and 405 nm and can be outfitted with 3-, 5-, or 8-mm diameter focusing lenses.
