Multi-tray stringer solders up to 5000 solar cells per hour
From 14th to 16th of July, M10 Industries will present Kubus, its recently developed multi-tray stringer at the Intersolar North America 2015 in San Francisco. The patent pending, high performance stringer will be presented to the public by means of a 3D simulation. The benefits will be clearly visible: decoupled processes guarantee uninterrupted production and an output of up to 5000 cells per hour.
UV/visible light curing adhesive bonds to polycarbonate
Extended curing times for adhesives can often create a bottleneck in the production process which can interrupt work flow. This was exactly the problem experienced by Brandon Medical.
Tapes transfer heat & provide a secure bond
Two thermally conductive tapes that not only allow heat to transfer easily and dissipate quickly but also provide a secure bond have been introduced by Techsil. The Stokvis 202331 and 202332 consist of an acrylic adhesive which contains thermally conductive ceramic particles that transmit heat away from sensitive components.
Coatings get smart
While coatings today provide protection and other static functionality, a new generation of technologies is making them smart, able to change in response to their environment. There's significant potential for this capability to impact industries from military and aerospace to medicine, according to Lux Research.
Dispenser uses five axes of automated control
The Programmable Tilt + Rotate 5-Axis Fluid Dispenser, which dispenses fluid using five axes of automated control instead of only three, has been released by Nordson ASYMTEK.
Flux inspection system optimises the connection of solar cells
To allow designers to successfully apply flux to solar cells, EVT has introduced a flux inspection system. The system controls the application of flux and inspects its presence on the conduction bands before soldering.
Mobile bench machine shapes a contour on hydraulic tubes
Sometimes less is more. That’s also true for the size and weight of pre-assembly devices that are predominantly used at construction sites says VOSS Fluid. They need to have compact designs but nevertheless work precisely, fast and safe, just like the VOSSForm 100 Compact forming machine. The mobile bench machine shapes a contour on hydraulic tubes.
The slow drip of manufacturing failure
The cost to people and business for electronics that fail, machines that jam, drugs that lose potency, metals that rust and foods that rot runs into billions of pounds each year in the UK alone. Perhaps surprisingly these and other problems like them, often have the same root cause. Vapours, usually water or hydrocarbon vapours, that simply get into the wrong place.
Plasma systems for wafer-level and 3D packaging applications
Nordson MARCH announces its recent SPHERE series plasma systems for wafer-level and 3D packaging applications. Based on Nordson MARCH's TRAK Series, the series consists of the TrophoSPHERE and StratoSPHERE plasma treatment systems. The systems perform descum, ashing (photoresist/polymer stripping), dielectric etch, wafer bumping, organic contamination removal and wafer destress.
PZT materials withstand extreme deep sea pressures
Test carried out by Morgan Advanced Materials on its proprietary range of Lead Zirconium Titanate (PZT) materials for deep sea applications are proving they can withstand pressures greater than any they are likely to encounter in deep sea use with no loss of performance.
