New 'Nanominiature' interconnections deliver up to 90% in weight savings
Tekdata Interconnections Ltd announces its new 'nanominiature' cable assemblies incorporating the latest advances in nanotechnology and environmental tolerance. Weight savings of up to 90% can be delivered in comparison to traditional assemblies as a result of these advances. These complex assemblies house 51 pins inside connectors whose width are 16.5 mm, whereas equivalent military specification cables can normally be as wide as 40 mm.

Ultra-flat microSD card connector
Yamaichi is supplementing its range of microSD card connectors with the PJS008-2100 in the super low profile design (microSD previously was named TransFlash card format). This addition means a top-mount version is now available to microSD for the SMT mount on the top side of the PCB assembly.
MCH connector for MicroTCA from Yamaichi
Yamaichi's new MCH connectors in the series CN084 come in four diverse types. Combining them makes for various line-ups of MCH modules. The connectors serve as adapters between the MicroTCA backplane and the MCH module (MicroTCA carrier hub). Used as a controller card for the AdvancedMC module in MicroTCA applications, MCH also used to be called Virtual Carrier Manager (VCM).
