Processor can recognise lanes, road signs & vehicles
The introduction of the TMPV7502XBG signals an expansion of Toshiba Electronics Europe's line of TMPV750 image recognition processors. Designed for small-size camera modules, the device can be used in ADAS that recognise lanes, road signs, vehicles and pedestrians from images collected by cameras positioned around the car and in electronic side mirrors.
PCIM 2014: Smart gate driver photocoupler monitors IGBT modules
Delivering the ability to monitor IGBT modules to prevent problems rather than react to an incident is a theme at this year’s PCIM exhibition in Nuremberg. Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) contribution to meet this demand is a smart gate driver photocoupler with 4A (max) output current housed in a thin SO16L package for use in driving medium-power IGBTs and power MOSFETs.
PCIM 2014: MOSFET family moves up to 650V rating
Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has expanded its family of high-efficiency and compact super junction MOSFETs with devices offering voltage ratings to 650V. The new 650V MOSFETs are ideal for applications that may have to operate in environments with fluctuating mains supplies or very low temperatures.
4TB hard disk drives for surveillance applications
Available in capacities up to 4TB (Terabyte), Toshiba Electronics Europe has introduced the MD03ACA-V series high-capacity hard disk drive (HDD) for surveillance applications. The robust design of the HDD provides storage to various video recorders including surveillance digital video recorders (SDVR), surveillance network video recorders (SNVR) and Hybrid SDVR.
3.3A photorelay for testing and control applications
Housed in a 6.3x7.0mm 2.54SOP6 package, the TLP3107 photorelay has been introduced by Toshiba. With a high-current of 3.3A (maximum), the photorelay is suited for factory automation, security system and testing applications, including power-line switching, feedback resistance switching and measuring-line switching.
4K HDMI to MIPI dual-DSI converter billed as industry first
The TC358870XBG, from Toshiba Electronics Europe, is being billed as the industry’s first 4K High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) to MIPI dual-DSI converter chipset with video format conversion.
Embedded NAND flash memory module is UFS Ver. 2.0 compliant
Toshiba has claimed that it is the first in the industry to provide 32 and 64GB embedded NAND flash memory modules that are compliant with the JEDEC UFS (Universal Flash Storage) Ver. 2.0 standard. It supports maximum transfer rates up to 11.6Gb/s by integrating two 5.8Gb/s High-speed MIPI M-PHY HS-G3 I/F data lanes - an optional feature of UFS Ver. 2.0.
The world’s first 15nm process technology
Replacing second generation 19nm process technology (the company's former flagship process), Toshiba has developed what it claims to be the world’s first 15nm process technology. The chips achieve the same write speed as chips formed with second generation 19nm process technology, but boost the data transfer rate to 533Mb/s, 1.3 times faster, by employing a high speed interface.
15nm NAND flash memories to start mass production
A 15nm process technology, claimed to be the world's first by manufacturer Toshiba, has been developed and will apply to 2-bit-per-cell 128Gb (16GB) NAND flash memories. Mass production utilising the new technology will start at the end of April 2014 at Fab 5 Yokkaichi Operations, Toshiba’s NAND flash fabrication facility (fab). This newly developed 15nm technology will replace the current second generation 19nm process technology...
Pacy memory cards clock in at 30MB/s
Toshiba Electronics Europe is launching the world’s fastest microSD memory cards that are compliant with the ultra high speed serial bus interface UHS-II , as defined in SD Memory Card Standard Ver. 4.20. The new microSD memory cards will be available in 32GB and 64GB and achieve the fastest transfer rates of any microSD card.
Transmit up to 100m with a drive current of just 6mA
Extending their portfolio of TOSLINK fibre optic modules, the TOxX1350-series from Toshiba supports signal transmission from DC or any data rates up to 10Mb/s. Transmission distances of 40-100m can be achieved with a drive current of only 6mA and it is possible to operate the transmitter with a drive current of only 1.5mA to achieve transmission distances of 0.2-50m.
Photocoupler targets servo motors & PLCs
The TLP2391, a high-speed photocoupler from Toshiba Electronics Europe, targets servo motors and PLCs and is operable in both plus and minus LED input currents.
