World's first 48-layer 3D stacked cell flash memory
Toshiba has announced the development of the world’s first 48-layer 3D stacked cell structure flash memory, called BiCS, a 2-bit-per-cell 128Gb (16GB) device. The BiCS is based on a leading-edge 48-layer stacking process, which enhances the reliability of write / erase endurance and boosts write speed, and is suited for use in diverse applications, primarily SSD.
LDO regulator ICs target wearable & mobile devices
Featuring ultra-low quiescent bias current and low dropout voltage, Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced a series of LDO regulator ICs with a 200mA output. The TCR2LN/LE/LF series regulators are available in an ultra-small package suited to a variety of mobile devices that require extended battery lives and high-density board assembly, including wearable devices, smartphones, tablet PCs and portable games.

High speed data transfer adapter launched for iOS
Compatible with iOS 7.1/8.1 iPhones, iPads and iPods fitted with a Lightning connector port, Toshiba announces the first TransferJet adapter for iOS devices. TransferJet technology enables simple ultra-high speed data transfers with low power consumption and close proximity wireless data transfer. Maximum data throughput is 375Mb/s, and 100MB of data can be transmitted in approximately three seconds.
2.5" HDD achieves world’s highest areal density

CMOS LDOs meet battery operated device requirements
Suited for use in smartphones, tablet PCs and other portable, battery operated devices that require low power consumption, high performance and minimum PCB space, the TCR3DM family of ultra-miniature CMOS LDOs has been introduced by Toshiba Electronics Europe. The regulators offer an output voltage range of 1.0-4.5V with the possibility to specify the fixed output voltage in steps of 50mV.
Automotive N-channel MOSFETs help reduce EMI noise
Expanding its line-up of automotive N-channel power MOSFETs, Toshiba Electronics Europe has introduced two devices: a 100V, 160A MOSFET and a 40V, 200A MOSFET. The TK160F10N1 and TK200F04N1L can contribute to EMI noise reduction in applications such as electric power steering, DC/DC converters and load switches.
High power LEDs surpass 160lm at room temperature
Suited for use in residential, commercial and industrial lighting applications, a series of high power LEDs has been introduced by Toshiba Electronics Europe. The TL1L4 series offers significantly better performance than the preceding TL1L3 series, achieving a high luminous flux that surpasses 160lm at room temperature operation.
