Enterprise Cloud HDD combines 6TB with 7,200rpm

Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced the expansion of the MC04 series with a 6TB version designed for bulk storage systems and servers supporting cloud-based applications and scale-out workloads. Featuring an industry standard 3.5" form factor, the MC04 series delivers 7,200rpm performance, enabling suitable service levels for high performance cloud-based applications and storage.

Brushed DC motor driver exhibits 0.34Ω RDS(on)

Toshiba has launched a small motor driver IC for DC brushed motors. While primarily targeted at vehicle engine applications, such as electronic throttle and valve control, the TB9051FTG is also suitable for control of on-board systems operating at up to 5A, such as control of wing mirrors and locks for car boots. The TB9051FTG is a single channel H-Bridge that supports two power supplies (VBAT and VCC).

15Mb/s photocoupler features low power consumption

Combining 15Mb/s high-speed communication with low power consumption, Toshiba has launched a photocoupler for applications including PV inverters, servo amplifiers, FA networks and I/O interfaces. The TLP2761 guarantees a minimum creepage and clearance distance of 8mm and minimum isolation voltage of 5000Vrms, making it suitable for applications requiring higher isolation specs.

Optocoupler guarantees CTR consistency from 0.2 to 80mA

Toshiba has expanded its optocoupler range with the addition of the TLP383, designed for use in PLCs, AC adapters and I/O interface boards. The photocoupler guarantees the same CTR (Current Transfer Ratio) across an input current range from 0.2 to 8mA [50-600% at IF =0.2/8mA, VCE=5V] and across the temperature range of +25 to 100°C.

Toshiba & Microsoft to collaborate on IoT development

DTMOS IV-H MOSFETs now offered in four pin TO-247 package

Targeting PFC for high power smart power stages, Toshiba Electronics Europe has introduced a four pin TO-247 MOSFET package. In conventional three pin TO-247 packages, parasitic induction at the source pin causes increased losses with increasing switching frequency. The TO-247 4L package is equipped with high speed DTMOS-H chips with low QGD to optimise switching behaviour.

Produce crisper images in high contrast conditions

Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced that it will start mass production of a CMOS image sensor with a 1/3" optical format and full HD (1080p) resolution. The TCM3232PB meets the requirements for high resolution, high-speed frame rate and high fidelity images needed for industrial use and is suitable for applications in security and surveillance cameras, monitor cameras and driving recorders.

MCU provides IoT devices with enhanced security

An MCU, designed for use in secure systems control, has been introduced by Toshiba Electronics Europe. The TMPM46BF10FG, which expands the company’s existing TX04 range and adds a selection of enhanced security features, is an ARM Cortex-M4F based MCU. Suitable applications include IoT devices, energy management systems, sensor technology and industrial equipment.
