800 & 900V MOSFETs suit high-speed switching below 5A

Suited for switching voltage regulator designs, a range of ultra-efficient, high-speed, high-voltage MOSFETs has been unveiled by Toshiba Electronics Europe. Available with 800 and 900V ratings, the four N-channel devices have typical on resistance ratings down to just 1.9Ω. Target applications include flyback converters in LED lighting, supplementary power supplies and other circuits requiring current switching below 5A.

Transistor arrays integrate DMOS FET type source-output driver

Claimed to be the industry's first with a DMOS FET type source-output driver, Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced the launch of a new generation of highly efficient transistor arrays. The TBD62783A series succeeds the TD62783 series of bipolar transistor arrays, cutting power loss by about 40%. They are suited for use in a wide range of applications including LED drives.

Wireless power transmitter IC features 15W capability

Toshiba has launched a compact and efficient wireless power transmitter IC with a 15W transmission capability. In combination with a host MCU, the TC7718FTG realises a wireless power transmission system compliant with WPC Qi version 1.2. Built on Toshiba’s CD-0.13 semiconductor process, the TC7718FTG combines a small package with high efficiency.

Automotive MOSFET features industry's lowest on resistance

Expanding its family of UMOS9 MOSFETs, Toshiba Electronics Europe has added a 40V N-channel MOSFET housed in the advanced DPAK+ package. The TK1R4S04PB has achieved AEC-Q101 qualification and is designed for automotive motor control applications such as water pumps, fuel pumps, oil pumps, fans, EPS and DC/DC converters.

MOSFET gate driver can prevent incoming reverse current flow

Able to be controlled by 3.3V logic input, a high-side N-channel Power MOSFET gate driver has been introduced by Toshiba Electronics Europe. Providing short-circuit protection/diagnosis functions and a feature to prevent the reverse current flow to itself in case of reverse battery situation, the TPD7104AF is designed for use in automotive applications.

Transistor photocouplers feature low input current

Expanding its portfolio of low input current transistor photocouplers, Toshiba Electronics Europe has introduced a a pair of 4-channel versions. The TLP292-4 and TLP293-4 operate over a wide temperature range from -55 to +125˚C and can be used for a variety of high-density surface mount applications including PLCs, switching power supplies and simplex or multiplex data transmissions.

Photocouplers support signal transfer up to 100kb/s

Designed for comms applications in factory automation equipment and home appliances, Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced the TLP2703 photocoupler. The device supports signal transfer speeds of up to 100kb/s, can be driven by a low input current of just 1mA and is price competitive with 1Mb/s class IC photocouplers.

New robot to help clear up Fukushima radiation
