Contactless charger for EV will be tested on EV bus
Toshiba has developed a fast, cable-free contactless charger for EV, and will field test it on a medium-sized EV bus designed to handle the power demands of regular high-speed journeys on expressways. Field tests will start from June 1st and continue until December. The 45-seat bus is powered by a long-life, high-output SCiB, Toshiba's advanced lithium-ion rechargeable battery, and will make regular trips between All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd. ...
H-bridge driver ICs suit battery-powered devices
Expanding its range of H-bridge driver ICs for brushed DC and stepper motors, Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced the TC78H620FNG, which is suited to battery-powered mobile devices - such as fans and small printers - and home appliances. The IC adopts a four-port interface control technique using the PHASE and ENABLE signals.
Next-gen superjunction MOSFETs deliver lower EMI & RDS(ON)
Toshiba Electronics Europe is set to announce the development of its next generation of superjunction (SJ) deep trench semiconductor technology for high-efficient power MOSFETs. Devices based on the DTMOS V process operate with lower EMI noise and reduced on resistance (RDS(ON)) compared to previous DTMOS IV MOSFETs.
Industry’s first DMOS FET arrays with 1.5A sink-output drive
Toshiba Electronics Europe has launched a new generation of highly efficient transistor arrays, hailed as the industry’s first with a 1.5A sink-output driver. The TBD62064A and TBD62308A series DMOS FET transistor arrays are available in the same package and pin configurations and provide the same functionality as the older TD62xxxA series, while cutting power losses by about 38%.
Simplify high-voltage PWM control of BLDC motors
Toshiba Electronics Europe has expanded its High-Voltage Intelligent Power Device (HV-IPD) line-up with a 600V, 5.0A part for PWM control of BLDC motors. The TPD4207F is designed to simplify the implementation of high-efficiency BLDC applications ranging from home appliances to industrial pumps and fans.
