Tiny LC filters suppress EMI

A LC filter for EMI suppression has been presented by TDK Corporation. With dimensions of 1.0x0.5x0.35mm the MEM1005PP251T filters are suited for use in smartphones and base stations. Volume production began in March 2017. The usual method for suppressing interference in the communication frequency bands of smartphones and other devices is to use capacitors or inductances, or a combination of these components.

Compact EMC filter rated at 50A

A 48VDC nominal EMC filter rated at 50A has been introduced by TDK Corporation. Enclosed in a compact metal case, the RDEN-048050 filter utilises stud terminals for ease of connection. Excluding the terminals, the filter measures 90x60x30mm.

Automotive-grade MLCCs suit high-temperature applications

Thin-film metal inductors have 30% lower DC resistance

Featuring a maximum DC resistance of 62mΩ - 30% lower than for existing types (e.g. TFM160808ALM, 0.47-μH), TDK Corporation has introduced the TFM160808ALC thin-film inductor for power supply circuits. The new type, whose compact dimensions are 1.6x0.8x0.8mm, also offers a high rated current of 2.6A and an inductance of 0.47μH.

Acquisition to further sensor solution growth in IoT and ICT
