Power sensor lined up for MWC 2018 debut

EMC measurement solutions feature at EMV 2018
At EMV 2018 in Dusseldorf (Feb 20-22), Rohde & Schwarz will present its customised solutions for EMC measurements in all areas of product development, from the R&D phase to certification. A turnkey test system for certification testing in line with RED as well as complete systems for immunity measurements will also be on display.
eCall modules test met with software solution
From April 1, 2018 onward, all newly registered cars and light trucks in the European Union must be equipped with the eCall automatic emergency system. An option released by Rohde & Schwarz for the R&S SMBV100A vector signal generator together with test automation software delivers standard-compliant, fully automated performance tests for the GNSS receiver integrated in the eCall module.
Tester emulates all IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards
The R&S CMW270 wireless connectivity tester emulates all IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards, including 802.11ax. In signalling mode, users can test the RF properties of WLAN stations under real-world conditions. Before now, the RF properties of WLAN stations (STA) were mainly tested in an artificial remote control operation, the non-signalling mode.

Firmware enables 3GPP 5G New Radio signals tests
A firmware option for 5G New Radio (NR) downlink signal analysis has been announced by Rohde & Schwarz. The firmware option for the R&S FSW signal and spectrum analyser enables verification of signals for base stations, as well as component testing of 5G power amplifiers.
Probes offer measurement bandwidth of up to 200MHz
High voltage differential probes from Rohde & Schwarz are designed for complex measurements on state-of-the-art power electronics with voltages up to 6000V. The R&S RT-ZHD probes offer a measurement bandwidth of up to 200MHz, a high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) and DC measurement accuracy of 0.5%.

Power supply quality is a key factor in the functionality and performance of sensitive electronic circuits. Software option meets PDW streaming applications
To cope with today’s demanding radar signal simulations, ultralong playtimes are needed in order to simulate realistic radar environments. Pulse sequences are calculated pulse by pulse and streamed as PDWs to an RF signal source. This avoids long calculation times and saves memory space in the signal generator.
