Profinet device redundancy features two different controllers
With the release of software version V1.6 of the TPS-1 PROFINET single-chip device, Phoenix Contact provides the possibility to connect a PROFINET device redundantly with two controllers (Primary and Backup).
Electronics housings for harsh conditions
The outdoor housings of the Phoenix Contact Environmental Case System (ECS) series are now also available in a more compact design. The shorter installation depth of 109mm, instead of 169 mm, is especially suitable for space-critical applications that require a high degree of protection.
Software store for automation solutions
It has been announced that Phoenix Contact now offers the PLCnext store for its open control platform PLCnext. This software store provides software applications (apps) that users can utilise to add technical functions to the PLCnext Control controller. Depending on the app, the user does not need any deep knowledge of programming to create their application directly using the software solutions.
Electronic alarm annunciator with 4G
At the SPS IPC Drives trade show in Nuremberg, Phoenix Contact brought the new variants from the TC Mobile I/O X200 product range to the market. Users will be able to alert and switch relays via 4G (LTE) mobile networks. The TC Mobile I/O X200-4G and TC Mobile I/O X200-4G AC devices for the European market include a 4G mobile engine (LTE CAT1) with 2G fall back (GSM/GPRS/EDGE).
Comprehensive portfolio of IO-Link masters
IO-Link, the transmission protocol with an open standard for tomorrow's automation, is currently the fastest growing communication standard in the field of industrial automation. To this end, Phoenix Contact offers a comprehensive IP20 and IP67 portfolio of IO-Link masters, IO-Link devices, cabling, and software.
Monitor intelligent Ethernet extenders remotely
All extender paths and devices can be easily monitored remotely using a single managed device via IP address with Phoenix Contact TC extenders. In the case of unexpected events such as a weakening of the path, this information is available via SNMP trap (Simple Network Management Protocol) and can be issued as a warning to one or more freely selectable network devices.
Marshalling panels for efficient fibre-optic transmission
The new 19" marshalling panels from Phoenix Contact simplify FO cabling and are suitable for real time data transmission. The modular design enables a variety of applications, for example in power distribution and process technology.
Connectivity for all dimensions
A new product series of robust board-to-board connectors has been introduced by Phoenix Contact. For the market launch, the Fine Pitch series includes shielded connectors with a pitch of 0.8mm and unshielded versions with a pitch of 1.27mm. The newly developed product series offers versatile solutions for the connection of several PCBs within the device.
Circular connectors announced with fast locking system
Phoenix Contact is launching a new series of circular connectors with a standard system and a fast locking system onto the market. The M17 to M40 PRO series offers uniform solutions for signal and power transmission. The Oneclick fast locking system enables users to connect their devices quickly and safely.
New variants of the electronic circuit breakers
Two new variants are being added to the PTCB series of single-channel electronic circuit breakers from Phoenix Contact. The new products have permanently set nominal currents of 1 and 8A. Thus, the family now comprises six devices with fixed nominal current values (1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8A).
DC UPS with integrated power supply
The new Phoenix Contact uninterruptible power supplies with integrated power supply from the Trio product range supply DC loads reliably and with economical use of space. The UPS module and power supply are combined in a single housing. Only one energy storage is required to complete the UPS system.
Compact T-distributors for simple power distribution
The QPD installation system from Phoenix Contact enables users to connect cables quickly and easily. The 4-pos. T-distributors up to 2.5 mm² are new, and they allow a flexible branch line to be created for consumers in the power distribution system. The T-distributors are reliable thanks to robust housings with IP66, IP 69 (2 m, 24 h) and IP69K degrees of protection.
DIN rail adapters for compact data transmission
The universal DIN rail adapters from Phoenix Contact offer a high level of flexibility in the tightest space. The single-piece housings snap into place on the DIN rail quickly and easily. Versions with RJ45, SC simplex, LC duplex, and MTP connections are available for data transmission with copper conductors and fibre optic lines.
Assembled M8 data cables with D-coding
Thanks to their compact dimensions, the new M8 connectors from Phoenix Contact let you provide the smallest devices with Ethernet and Profinet. The symmetrically arranged contacts of the D-coding provide secure data transmission. The installation space is up to 30% smaller compared to M12 connectors.
Free simulation of wireless networks
To simplify the planning of wireless networks based on the Radioline wireless system, Phoenix Contact is offering free simulation of wireless networks with up to ten stations. Infrastructure systems for power distribution or for water supply and disposal often include remote stations that are distributed over a large area.
First trade fair hackathon with open PLCnext ecosystem
In 2016, the open control platform based on PLCnext Technology from Phoenix Contact was unveiled at SPS IPC Drives. The new solution converts a traditional PLC into an open control platforms that can be programmed in IEC 61131, high level language or model-based code.
Compact connector housings for single modular contact inserts
The new Heavycon EVO M1 plastic housings from Phoenix Contact accommodate a modular contact insert. They are smaller and more cost-effective than a B6 interface. Like all EVO housings, the M1 single-module housings also feature a swivel cable gland with bayonet locking.
I/O and serial data via a wireless interface
The proprietary Radioline wireless system from Phoenix Contact is now able to transmit I/O signals and serial modbus/RTU data in parallel. Devices with firmware 1.80 or higher support dual mode PLC/modbus RTU, while any older devices can be updated via the PSI-CONF 2.50 software free of charge.
Efficient laser marker
With compact dimensions and easy operation via the integrated colour touch display, Phoenix Contact aims to redefine laser marking with the Topmark NEO laser marker, which creates particularly robust and high-quality industrial markings.
