FD multiple outlet boxes are NEMA 4X & IP66 rated

Expanding its line of Woodhead Watertite wet-location wiring solutions, Molex has introduced three FD multiple outlet boxes with closure plugs and reducers. Available in single-, two- and three-gang configurations to provide greater flexibility, the outlet boxes offer greater depth and provide 30% more volume than traditional FD boxes (according to Molex).

Vertical SMT modular jacks feature Kapton tape

In order to ease automatic vacuum pick-and-place processes on PCBs, Molex has added Kapton tape to its family of vertical SMT modular jacks. By adding a Kapton tape surface to the top side of the connector, the  modular jacks streamline high-volume production and lower manufacturing costs in industries such as telecomms, consumer, medical, industrial and commercial.

Sealed connector system is compact and robust

A sealed connector system has been launched by Molex. The MXP120 Sealed Connector System is a 4.00mm pitch connection system based on 1.20mm terminals for automotive and commercial vehicle in-line harness applications. Meeting medium power application requirements up to 13.0A, the MXP120 can replace common 1.50mm systems to achieve a smaller, more compact solution.

Molex to acquire cable manufacturer

Molex has announced the signing of a binding agreement to acquire Flamar Cavi Elettrici, designer and manufacturer of a broad range of custom cables for multiple markets and applications. Flamar will operate as a subsidiary of Molex Incorporated. The acquisition is subject to anti-trust approval and is expected to close in Q3 2014. Terms were not disclosed.

Molex acquires Westec’s heavy-duty connector business

The heavy-duty connector business of Westec s.r.l. has been acquired by Molex European Holdings BV, a subsidiary of Molex Incorporated.
