Wireless test set integral to China bid win
The General Test Systems’ (GTS) RayZone-7000 OTA solution, which integrates Keysight Technologies’ UXM wireless test set has won the China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC) Terminal Test Center’s recent bid.The solution, chosen by CMCC terminal test center in Hangzhou, China, is a GTS RayZone-7000 OTA Test system, which offers 2G/3G/4G SISO test capabilities.

Chinese lab uses noise analyser for flicker tests
The EEsof EDA E4727A Advanced Low-Frequency Noise Analyser from Keysight Technologies has been adopted by CEPREI Laboratory for measurement and analysis of flicker noise (1/f noise) and random telegraph noise (RTN) during its reliability studies of semiconductor devices including MOSFETs, HEMTs and TFTs.
USB 3.1 protocol and decode software offers real-time triggering
Oscilloscope-based USB 3.1 Gen 2 10 Gbps protocol decode software with real-time triggering and protocol decode performance has been introduced by Keysight Technologies. The Keysight N8821A USB 3.1 protocol trigger and decode software. It provides unique protocol decoder performance that enables engineers to verify and debug their Gen 2 10 Gbps interfaces.
PAM-4 analysis software developed for oscilloscope platforms
Measurement application software designed to help engineers quickly and accurately measure and quantify PAM-4 (Pulse Amplitude Modulation with 4 amplitude levels) signals has been launched by Keysight Technologies. The software is used with the Keysight S-Series, 90000A, V-Series, 90000 X- and Z-Series real-time oscilloscope platforms and the 86100D DCA-X Infiniium sampling oscilloscope.

PXIe digitiser supports up to +/- 256V
The M9217A, a PXI Express based, single-slot, 2-channel, isolated digitiser has been announced by Keysight Technologies. The digitiser carries a front end supporting ±256V input with a sampling rate of 20Ms/s and 16-bit resolution. This is similar to the L4532A LI-based digitisers.
productronica: Handheld DMMs boast 800 hours battery life
A series of rugged handheld digital multimeters (DMMs) was unveiled by Keys gith Technologies at productronica this morning (Nov 10). The U1280 Series and U1240C Series handheld DMMs boast 800 hours of battery life, are dust proof and water proof to IP67 certification and butterfingered engineers will be pleased to note it can survive being dropped from up to 10 feet. The DMMs are also rated to CAT Iv 600V and CAT III 1000V.

A 50GHz frequency extension has been added to Keysight's M9393A PXIe performance Vector Signal Analyser (VSA), providing frequency coverage previously unseen in modular instrumentation with coverage of Ka-band frequencies and beyond. It delivers mmW measurement technology in a PXI form factor for manufacturing and design validation of modems, transponders and sub-components for commercial and military satcomms.

Tunable laser sources expand spectral test options
The 81607A, 81608A and 81609A tunable laser sources are a range of modules for the Keysight 8164B lightwave measurement system. The modules extend the product family that debuted in March 2015 with the 81606A tunable laser source, an instrument with sub-picometer tuning repeatability and wavelength accuracy that is maintained even in full-speed, two-way sweeps.
Software option addresses wireless power transfer applications
A wireless power transfer analysis option has been introduced by Keysight Technologies for its E5072A, E5061B and E5063A series network analysers. With this software option, the ENA Series network analysers are now able to effectively address the needs of emerging wireless power transfer (WPT) markets.
