An improved, high-speed, 16-channel, PXIe digital stimulus/response (DSR) module with pattern editing development software has been introduced by Keysight Technologies. The improved DSR synchronises up to 12 modules or 192 channels, a powerful and unique capability for applications in design validation and production test.

Two software updates for its real-time oscilloscope products have been announced by Keysight Technologies. The software updates are currently available in the Infiniium oscilloscope firmware version 5.60. The N8827A PAM-4 analysis software update adds bit error ratio (BER) capabilities for 4-level pulse amplitude modulation (PAM-4) based signals.

The M9203A PXIe 12-bit high-speed digitiser/wideband digital receiver from Keysight Technologies runs at up to 3.2GS/s, with up to 2GHz instantaneous analogue bandwidth. An extra high power tuneable laser the 81602A has been launched by Keysight Technologies. It eases tolerance for power budgets in test setups and speeds fibre or probe alignment by getting first light faster. Keysight also introduced new wavelengths for its recently released 8160xA family of tunable laser modules for the 8164Blightwave measurement system.

The N1092A, N1092B and N1092DDCA-M sampling oscilloscopes released by Keysight Technologies are ideal for 25/100/400 Gb/s optical test. Networks of 100 and 400 Gb/s rely on multiple-lane transmitters based on 25 Gb/s class lasers. Keysight Technologies and Spreadtrum Communications (Spreadtrum) have announced a memorandum standing (MoU) to collaborate on the research and development of mobile chipset advanced technology. The Keysight and Spreadtrum teams will work together to develop test solutions for new testing needs, including mobile chipset baseband, RF module and conformance test.

Integrated Circuits Characterisation and Analysis Program (IC-CAP) 2016, Model Builder Program (MBP) 2016, and Model Quality Assurance (MQA) 2016 have been added to Keysight Technologies’ modelling and characterisation software suite. The software release provides designers characterising and modelling semiconductor devices with further advances in efficiency.

A series of hardware and software options for the M9485A high-performance PXIe multiport vector network analyser have been introduced by Keysight Technologies. The options enhance the modular nature of the M9485A VNA by adding a range of new capabilities in support of applications such as base transceiver station (BTS) component test and active multiport module test.

A compliance test software application for hybrid memory cube (HMC) device and system testing has been introduced by Keysight Technologies. The N8839A HMC test application helps memory design engineers accelerate turn-on and debug of HMC systems by automating the execution of transmitter physical-layer tests onKeysight Infiniium v-Series and Z-Series oscilloscopes.
