Seven new modules have been added to the R&S OSP open switch and control platform from Rohde & Schwarz. Users now have altogether 28 modules at their disposal for implementing a variety of RF wiring configurations between test instruments and DUTs. This allows them to reproducibly configure even automatic path switchovers in complex RF test systems and control them via Ethernet.

Rohde & Schwarz has introduced the new R&S RTO-K26 MIPI D-PHY compliance test software to offer automated tests in line with the current v1.1 specifications of the MIPI Alliance and the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). The high definition (HD) mode software increases the vertical resolution of the R&S RTO and R&S RTE oscilloscopes to up to 16 bits, a 256-fold improvement over 8-bit resolution. To achieve this higher resolution, the signal is low-pass filtered directly after the A/D converter. The filter reduces the noise, thereby increasing the signal-to-noise ratio.
