Richardson Electronics, MS Power ink global pact
A global distribution agreement has been signed by Richardson Electronics andMS Power, a manufacturer of bipolar semiconductor products. The agreement aligns with both companies commitment to provide the highest reliability and quality products into various applications including Motor Drives, Power Supplies, Solar and Wind Energy Systems, Smart Grid, and others.
Conversion screen for visualisation of near infrared light
An extensive range of conversion screens and cards are offered for both high and low power applications, over discreet wavelength ranges from 400nm to 20um. The latest addition to the range, the LDT-007BN is suitable for the detection of low and medium power infra-red light from IR laser diodes, low power Nd:YAG lasers and IR LEDs. There is no need to optically charge the phosphor, and it will not lose its sensitivity to stimulation with use.
TVS Diodes designed to protect high-speed interfaces in automotive applications
Bourns, Inc. has introduced a TVS diodes series featuring low capacitance of 3pF (picofarads) making them suitable protection devices for the high-speed interfaces found in today's automotive, communication line and industrial applications. The BournsModel CDSOD323-TxxC-DSLQ TVS diodes also offer the Bourns' lowest TVS diode leakage current of 1nA (nanoampere).
ESD protection array for high-speed data interfaces
Texas Instruments' TPD4E001-Q1 device is a low-capacitance TVS diode array designed for ESD protection in sensitive electronics connected to communication lines. Each channel consists of a pair of transient-voltage-suppression diodes that steer ESD pulses to VCC or GND. The TPD4E001-Q1 protects against ESD events up to ±8kV contact discharge and ±15kV air-gap discharge, as specified in IEC 61000-4-2 international standard.
Miniature 15kV optocoupler simplifies design requirements
Luso has announced that HVM Technology have released a miniature 15kV Opto-Coupler.The OPTO-150 is a miniature; 15kV rated high voltage opto-coupler which integrates low voltage LED drivers with high voltage photo detector diodes.Typical applications for the OPTO-150 include high voltage switching, high voltage isolation, external voltage sensing, voltage level shifting, and mass spectrometry.
Linear regulators deliver constant LED current in compact packages
Diodes Incorporated has introduced the AL5890 linear constant-current regulator developed to provide simple and more cost-effective solutions to driving LED strings from an off-line or DC power supply.Available in a range of packages, the small form-factor of the AL5890 makes it suitable for any LED application where a lower BoM cost and sizes are important.
Audio power amplifier targets wireless media speakers
The new 10W stereo Class-D audio amplifier, the PAM8106 from Diodes Incorporated features low THD+N, low EMI and high PSRR, and integrates spread-spectrum modulation (SSM) and non-clipping power limit (NCPL) technology to deliver advanced features for a range of battery- or line-powered devices including LCD TVs, wireless speakers, portable stereos, and game machines.
Platform integrates high performance 0.1um GaAs pHEMT
WIN Semiconductors has expanded its portfolio of highly integrated GaAs technologies with the release of a pHEMT technology. The PIH0-03 platform incorporates monolithic PIN and vertical Schottky diodes with WIN’s high performance 0.1um pseudomorphic HEMT process, PP10. This integrated technology, PIH0-03, adds a highly linear vertical Schottky diode with cut-off frequency over 600GHz, as well as multi-function PIN diodes while preserving t...
New 45kW high surge protection devices
The availability of the ProTek Devices range of high surge protection devices has been announced by Inelco Hunter. The device is for power supplies and AC/DC power lines that require high surge current/lightning protection, in addition, the entire range of 15, 30 and 45kW devices are SMT.
CoolSiC Schottky diodes: combining performance and robustness
At this year’s PCIM Europe trade fair in Nuremberg, Infineon Technologies AG presents the first products of its automotive Silicon Carbide portfolio: the CoolSiCSchottky diode family is now ready for current and future on-board charger (OBC) applications in hybrid and electric vehicles. Infineon has designed the diodes specifically to meet the high requirements of the automotive industry regarding reliability, quality and performance.
