Debugging tool eases DDR memory testing
Agilent Technologies has introduced a debugging tool that helps DDR memory designers perform precompliance tests, discover the root cause of compliance failures, and maximize design margins. The tool allows designers to easily navigate to areas of interest for further analysis and collect and analyse statistical data.
Mid-range oscilloscopes boast 2GHz bandwidth, 10GS/s sample rate
Tektronix has introduced oscilloscopes offering bandwidth up to 2GHz with 10GS/s sample rate and 50M standard record length. The MSO/DPO5000B Series also feature, up to 250M record length, 250,000 waveform per second capture rate, and >11 bits resolution with HiRes acquisition.
Prospects for software-defined oscilloscopes
The hard economic environment means test engineers have to make the most of what they already have, but how can software help? By Geoff Kempster, Inventory Manager for Livingston UK, & Mike McHale, Livingston's International Sales Director.
Customers usher Pico to MathWorks Program
Pico Technology has joined the MathWorks Connections Program. The PicoScope 3000 Series oscilloscopes now have an instrument driver for the Instrument Control Toolbox. This includes all models apart from the Mixed Signal and Differential Oscilloscopes, with drivers for other product ranges to be provided in the future.
DSO family features 60MHz and 100MHz models
Four models make up the new 2510 series hand-held digitial storage oscilloscopes from B&K Precision. The new line of dual-channel oscilloscopes includes 60MHz and 100MHz bandwidth models in non-isolated and isolated designs. Suitable for general electronics, models 2511 and 2512 provide non-isolated 300 V CAT II rated inputs.
Spectrum analyser bandwidth extended to 165MHz
Tektronix says its real-time spectrum analysers (RTSAs) now offer up to 165MHz acquisition bandwidth to support demanding applications such as high-margin, high accuracy WLAN 802.11ac characterisation and troubleshooting. Also upgraded are the real-time performance and signal detection improvements of its RSA5000 and SPECMON series of RTSAs.
Upgraded mixed domain scope aids RF validation, debugging
Debugging a device with integrated RF is a challenge. It is one that Tektronix strove to make easier with the introduction in August 2011 of its MDO4000 series of mixed domain oscilloscopes. The company has now added to its armoury with the launch of the MDO4000B mixed domain oscilloscopes.
Automated Test Equipment in the Cloud
A revolutionary pay-per-use solution combines semiconductor test with cloud computing technology, offering semiconductor companies access to test capabilities while minimising investment and effort. Stephane Cavazzini, Advantest’s Sales Account Manager for SOC IDM, explores further in this ES Design magazine article.
High definition scopes with 200MHz to 1GHz bandwidth
The HDO4000-MS and HDO6000-MS high definition oscilloscopes from Teledyne LeCroy combine 16 channels of flexible mixed signal capabilities with HD4096 high definition technology, long memory, and a compact form factor, in bandwidths from 200MHz to 1GHz. All HDO models sport a large 12.1in. touch-screen display and intuitive interface to enhance operation.
