IoT-connected bike lock enables real time monitoring
Utilising Dutch KPN’s LORA technology, Mobilock is the world’s first bike lock which is connected to the IoT. The bike sharing system uses a smartphone app to open the lock and can now monitor and localise all its bikes in real time, where-ever and whenever they are, without using GPS.
The introduction of mbed IoT Device Platform
Semtech and ARM recently released LoRaWAN development through ARM mbed with LoRa-based shields and platforms. The LoRaWAN end-device source code, standardised by the LoRa Alliance, is also available through mbed simplifying device prototyping and accelerating the development of IoT applications.
