Highlights from FRAMOS Image Sensor Tech Days
A team of Japanese developers working at Sony were a major highlight for the participants attending the event in Munich. Sony is the largest producer of sensors and held many events including a live presentation of its latest sensor models from the third CMOS generation which gave end customers an opportunity to take part in a live Q&A session and pose their questions to the experts on hand.
High-resolution lens from Computar for 1.1” sensors
Computar has brought the “MPY” lens series with 12 megapixel resolution onto the market specifically to work with the SONY Pregius IMX253 and IMX255 image sensors. The 1.1” C-Mount series enables the high image quality of the high-resolution SONY sensors to be fully utilised in machine vision, life science and ITS applications. The Computar MPY series and all other Computar lenses are available through the image processing speci...
Sensors provide distortion-free images, on-the-go
Sony launches two powerful 1/3” sensors in the second generation of its CMOS Global Shutter image sensors - the IMX273 and the IMX287. With a resolution of 1.6megapixels (IMX273) and high sensitivity in VGA quality (IMX287), they provide excellent distortion-free image quality in moving vision systems. Notably, with image rates of up to 437fps, they support fast applications in Machine Vision and diagnostics as well as traffic and monitorin...
CMOS sensors suitable for machine vision applications
For its popular CMOS sensors, ON Semiconductor has brought out versions with 128-pin LGA packages, the Python 2000 and Python 5000. This makes the sensors especially suitable for mounting in applications in rough surroundings subject to heavy movements. The new Python variants are available from FRAMOS.The Python family from ON Semiconductor is suitable for machine vision applications, Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) and inspection applications...
