Achieving class-leading low current consumption, the ICs are suited for use in Bluetooth Smart devices including wearable technology, medical equipment, smartphone accessories, remote controls and a wide variety of emerging IoT solutions.
CES celebrates 50 years of technology
2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the world's leading innovation event, cementing CES' place in history as the global gathering place for innovation and technology. Since its start in 1967, CES has showcased an estimated 700,000 products. These include world-changing innovations such as the VCR (1970), the DVD (1996), digital radio (2000) and Blu-ray recording standards released (2002).
High accuracy photocouplers integrate delta sigma ADC
Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced two digital output isolation amplifiers for current and voltage sensing in power converters. The TLP7830 and TLP7930 achieve high accuracy through the inclusion of a delta sigma ADC. A choice of two package types are available: TLP7930 is supplied in an industry-standard DIP8 package and the TLP7830 is available in a compact SO8L package, which takes up 30% less board space and features a 40% lower profile...
Flash memories span 1Gbit, 2Gbit and 4Gbit
The portfolio of memory products for embedded applications has bee expanded at distributor Rutronik with the new line-up of 24nm SLC NAND flash memory products from Toshiba. They are compatible with the widely used Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI). New functional requirements increase the demand of embedded memory, for software (boot programs, firmware, embedded OS) and data (including log data).
Toshiba launches entry-level USB 3.0 flash memory sticks
Toshiba Electronics Europe has launched a range of entry-level USB 3.0 flash memory drives to address the growing need to transfer and backup data easily, reliably and cost-effectively. Launched under the established TransMemory brand, the stylish U303 ‘it’s mini!’ range transfer content twice as fast as USB 2.0 alternatives and are available with capacities of 16, 32 and 64GB.
ATPG solution reduces pattern count up to 50%
Synopsys has announced that Toshiba has confirmed that Synopsys TetraMAX II ATPG can significantly accelerate test pattern generation and reduce manufacturing test time and cost. Required to meet aggressive test quality and design schedule goals on an upcoming complex SoC, Toshiba designers determined they would need a much faster ATPG solution that generates much fewer test patterns while being fully power-aware.
Toshiba announces PCI Express & DDR3 SDRAM IP subsystems
Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced the immediate availability of PCI Express and DDR3 SDRAM IP subsystems developed in conjunction with Northwest Logic, a leading provider of high-performance, easy-to-use, silicon-proven PCI Express and Memory Interface IP cores. These subsystems are available on custom LSI platforms, including ASIC and FFSA.
Single-chip load switch ICs reduce power consumption
Featuring on-resistance ratings down to just 63mΩ, three single-chip load switch ICs have been introduced by Toshiba Electronics Europe. The TCK106AF, TCK107AF and TCK108AF integrate high performance chips in an industry-standard SOT-25 package and offer low typical quiescent currents of 110nA with low loss, low standby current and high performance switching characteristics.
Contactless charger for EV will be tested on EV bus
Toshiba has developed a fast, cable-free contactless charger for EV, and will field test it on a medium-sized EV bus designed to handle the power demands of regular high-speed journeys on expressways. Field tests will start from June 1st and continue until December. The 45-seat bus is powered by a long-life, high-output SCiB, Toshiba's advanced lithium-ion rechargeable battery, and will make regular trips between All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd. facili...
