High current models expand programmable power supply series
TDK has announced the introduction of three new models to TDK-Lambda’s Genesys series of programmable DC power supplies. The series is now available with outputs of 30, 40 and 50V at 500, 375 and 300A, respectively, and output powers of 15kW. These higher current units address the requirements for applications in the OEM, Industrial, Aerospace and ATE markets including: semiconductor and automotive test, component test/burn-in and magnet su...
Conduction cooled power supplies are rated at 1,000W
Rated at up to 1,000W output power, the CPFE1000FI series of conduction cooled AC/DC power supplies has been introduced by TDK-Lambda. Designed forRF power amplifiers, data communications and harsh industrial environments where cooling fans are not permitted, the power supplies require no external airflow and are instead designed to be used with a cold-plate, in sealed enclosures or systems that are liquid cooled.
120-480W DIN rail power supplies suit explosive environments
TDK announces the introduction of three additional models to TDK-Lambda’s DRF series of DIN rail power supplies. Rated at 120, 240 and 480W power levels, the units have received certification for potentially explosive atmospheres and marine applications.
Automotive applications beckon power inductors
Now available in Europe through TTI is TDK’s CLF-NI-D series of rugged power inductors for use in automotive electronics. The CLF7045NI-D wirewound SMD power inductors feature high efficiency and reliability over a very wide temperature range extending rom -55 to +150°C and offer rated inductance values from 1.0μ to 470μH (E6 series).
3, 6 & 10W DC/DC converters are medically certified
Operating over a wide 4:1 input range, the PXC-M series of 3, 6 and 10W DC/DC converters in the industry standard DIP-24 footprint have been unveiled by TDK-Lambda. With 5,000VAC input to output isolation, these medically certified converters are suitable for use in a broad spectrum of medical applications and battery powered equipment.
Power line chokes' vertical design saves PCB space
Expanding its range of frame core power line chokes, TDK has introduced the B82733V* series in a vertical design, complementing the horizontally designed B82733F* series. The vertical design is particularly advantageous when there is limited space on the PCB. Featuring an insertion height of 27mm, the chokes have a footprint of just 29x15.5mm. This is more than 30% smaller than that of the horizontal version.
Produce complex boards with new brochure
They are barely visible to the naked eye and have names like 03015 or 01005, but they are achieving great new things in the world of electronics. The smallest of components, such as microchips, capacitors and resistors, are gaining ground when it comes to the manufacturing of electronic products. They offer new technological solutions and challenge the industry to make compromises, so as to keep up-to-date with the trend towards miniaturisation.
Protecting wearable electronics from the human body
Wearable electronic devices are presenting new challenges to circuit protection technology, says Adam Chidley, European Product Manager, Avnet Abacus. The human body is one of the biggest enemies of circuit protection for modern portable electronic devices, because of ESD.
600W power modules offer outputs of 160, 320 or 650VDC
TDK Corporation announces the introduction of 600W output power models to the TDK-Lambda Z+ series of high voltage programmable DC power supplies, completing an extensive product development project. As with the 200, 400 and 800W models, these 600W models are offered with output voltages of up to 160, 320 or 650VDC and carry a five-year warranty.
NTC sensor elements measures temperatures to 650°C
Designed for measuring temperatures up to 650°C, TDK has released an NTC sensor element offering high-precision measurement with a temperature tolerance of about ±1° at 200°C. The device is based on a high-temperature ceramic sensor element that is connected to a metallised aluminium oxide rod and then glass-encapsulated.
