Filters offer high attenuation with no sound quality degradation
Expanding the company's portfolio of EMC components for audio lines, TDK has announced the MAF1005G noise suppression filter measuring just 1.0x 0.5x0.5mm. The miniaturised audio line filter features a high attenuation of cellular bands from 700MHz to 2.5GHz and can suppress the spurious emissions from these bands by up to 50dB.
DC link capacitor designed for IGBT modules
An EPCOS DC link capacitor that has been specifically designed for the HybridPACK 1-DC6 IGBT module from Infineon Technologies has been presented byTDK Corporation. The outstanding features of this component are the six busbar terminals with dimensions that are matched precisely to fit the IGBT module. This multiple contacting produces an excellent current capability while at the same time offering very low parasitics.
Running power supplies from portable generators
Outdoor events now use multiple, large display screens and a host of other electronics, and portable diesel generator sets often provide the AC power in temporary locations. By Andrew Skinner, TDK-Lambda EMEA
Companies collaborate to further grow sensor business
Based in Munich, Germany, TDKS’s wholly-owned subsidiary EPCOS, manufacturer of electronic components, modules and systems have signed a tender offer agreement; it has been announced by TDK and Tronics Microsystems. According to the terms EPCOS will launch a public tender offer for all publicly-held shares of Tronics for €13.20 per share.
Configurable supplies have medical certification
Configurable power supplies from TDK-Lambda are the first 1,200 to 1,500W-rated versions to have full Means of Patient Protection (MoPP) isolation. The QM series of AC/DC power supplies are also claimed to have the lowest acoustic noise at that power level, for use in medical or healthcare environments.
Electronic engineering brought to life for children
A team from TDK-Lambda UK helped bring electronics engineering to life for children and young adults at this year’s Big Bang Fair South West, announced TDK Corporation.
High efficiency AC/DC power modules are rated up to 1000W
TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the PFE1000FA series of power modules, representing a significant upgrade to the PFE1000F launched eight years ago. The series offers efficiencies as high as 90%, an improvement of up to 4%. Rated between 720W and 1000W, the products are designed for use with a cold-plate where cooling fans are not permitted, including industrial, MIL-COTS and communications applications.
POL DC/DC converter delivers 20A from 5 & 12V bus voltages
TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the iBH series of 80W, 20A Point of Load (POL) non-isolated DC/DC converters, featuring a wide 0.7V to 5.5V output adjustment range. The iBH converters can operate from either 5V or 12Vdc bus voltages, having a wide input voltage range of 3.5V to 14V, reducing inventory carrying costs by stocking just one part number.
Power supplies operate in high ambient temperatures
The introduction of the KWS-A series of single output 5W to 25W encapsulated power supplies capable of operating in ambient temperatures of up to 85°C has been announced by TDK Corporation. With a Class II input, the products require no earth ground connection, making them suitable for use in a range of process control, broadcast, test & measurement and industrial equipment.
Power factor correction: Control unit for parallel operation
A control unit which facilitates the intelligent coupling of three reactive power compensation systems; the new EPCOS VIP-3-TP from TDK Corporation.
