Thinnest insulation solution from Panasonic
Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems Europe just introduced a thermal insulation sheet said to be the thinnest insulation solution currently available on the market. The NASBIS (Nano Silica Balloon Insulation Sheet) high-performance thermal insulation sheet comes with a thickness of 50μm, 100 μm, 500 μm, or 1000 μm and an ultra low thermal conductivity of 0.018 to 0.024 W/mK.
EDLCs offer long life for backup power supplies
Combining low resistance with guaranteed long life over a wide temperature range (from -40 to +65°C), Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems Europe announces its HL series EDLCs (Electric Double Layer Capacitors). The gold capacitors are wound radial lead type devices, which achieve far better (up to 1,000 times greater) capacitance compared to aluminium electrolytic capacitors, as well as superior charge and discharge performance comp...
215+ leading companies support Qi wireless charging standard
Founded in 2008, the Wireless Power Consortium is backed by 215+ leading companies that support the Qi (pronounced “chee”) wireless charging standard. These companies represent a diverse range of industries including mobile and consumer electronics, semiconductors, magnetics, contract design and manufacturing groups, wireless operators, furniture and automotive manufacturers.
Thick film resistors are highly reliable
Among the most recent additions to Schukat's range of products are the thick film resistors in Panasonic's ERJ3GE, ERJ3EK, ERJ6GE and ERJ6EN series. These small, light current-measuring resistors from Panasonic offer high reliability with a metal glaze thick film resistance element and three layers of electrodes.
CES celebrates 50 years of technology
2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the world's leading innovation event, cementing CES' place in history as the global gathering place for innovation and technology. Since its start in 1967, CES has showcased an estimated 700,000 products. These include world-changing innovations such as the VCR (1970), the DVD (1996), digital radio (2000) and Blu-ray recording standards released (2002).
Power choke coils feature high heat resistance
A series of SMD-type power choke coils for automotive applications using a Metal Composite Core (MC) is now available from Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems Europe. The LP series products benefit from a low profile (3 and 4mm maximum height) and feature high heat resistance (designed for operation up to +155°C) and high reliability.
Panasonic releases 2nd gen Grid-EYE infrared array sensors
Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems Europe has released its much improved and accurate 2nd gen Grid-EYE infrared array sensors. The high gain (AMG8833 and AMG8834) and low gain types (AMG8853 and AMG8854) now benefit from an improved Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD) of 0.16°C at 10Hz and of 0.05°C at 1Hz.
