ECOC display addresses 400G test challenges
The latest in optical test innovation for data centre networking will be showcased by Tektronix at ECOC 2017 in Gothenburg (18-20 September). Tektronix will bring back its Open Technology Forum again this year as part of its stand, hosting industry experts from leading research and commercial companies to discuss the trends and opportunities for emerging optical communications designs.
Open source instrument boasts Arduino programmability
OpenScope, an Open-source PICMZ All-in-One Instrumentation device from Digilent is available for immediate shipment worldwide at Digi-Key Electronics. The OpenScope MZ is a portable multi-function programmable instrumentation module that connects to a computer (through Wi-Fi or a USB cable) and allows the user to acquire, analyse, visualise, and control signals from circuits, sensors, and other electronic devices.
Test solution extended to encompass 400G PAM4
The line-up of PAM4 test solutions at Tektronix has been extended to include comprehensive 400G electrical compliance testing for OIF-CEI-56G VSR/MR/LR PAM4 standards. The new 400G-TXE software package runs on high-performance Tektronix DPO70000SX Real-Time Oscilloscopes - a line-up of models which go up to 70GHz in bandwidth.
MSO delivers 4, 6, or 8 Channels and advanced UI
The 5 Series MSO mixed signal oscilloscope will better meet modern electronics design challenges, says Tektronix. The company says it redefines the midrange oscilloscope with a host of innovations including the industry’s first FlexChannel technology that allows 4, 6 or 8 analogue channels and up to 64 digital channels, integrated protocol analysis and signal generator, a new 12-bit signal acquisition system, a massive high-definition capac...
1GHz, 10GSa/s oscilloscope boasts touchscreen
Availability of the Teledyne LeCroy WaveSurfer 510 oscilloscope has been announced by Saelig. The instrument combines advanced 1GHz, 10GSa/s specifications including MAUI with OneTouch user interface, powerful waveform processing, as well as advanced math, measurement, and debug features, to create an engineering tool that can help quickly analyse and find the root cause of circuit problems.
Widest bandwidth, lowest phase noise for next-gen high-speed systems
Texas Instruments has introduced an Analogue-to-Digital Converter (ADC) and Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) with an integrated Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO) that deliver the widest bandwidth, lowest phase noise and highest dynamic range in the industry. The wideband ADC12DJ3200 is the fastest 12-bit ADC, delivering speeds up to 6.4 GSPS.
Portable ScopeCorder combines measurement and recording capabilities
Combining a general purpose oscilloscope and high-performance data acquisition recorder, the DL350 from Yokogawa can capture, display, record and analyse a wide variety of electrical and physical parameters in industry sectors including automotive, electronics, energy, transport and mechatronics.
Oscilloscope's integrated generator takes on complex tests
An integrated arbitrary waveform and pattern generator enables R&S RTO2000 and R&S RTE oscilloscopes to deliver test signals on two analogue and eight digital channels, making it possible to test complex circuits in a minimum of space using a single instrument. Even fully automated compliance tests can be performed. The RTO-B6/R&S RTE-B6 arbitrary waveform and pattern generator options from Rohde & Schwarz operate via controls that...
AWGs tackle cost effective multi-channel signal generation
Advanced electronic systems are increasingly turning to parallel design architecture to increase their overall performance in applications such as MIMO, radar, quantum computing and multi-lane serial bus testing. To develop these systems, and those with similar multi-receiver/emitter or multi-sensor technology, it is helpful to have the ability to generate multiple synchronised waveforms.
Oscilloscope makes debut at PCIM in Nuremberg
One of the highlights at the Rohde & Schwarz booth at PCIM 2017 in Nuremberg (May 16-18) will be the new entry-level R&S RTB2000 oscilloscope for education, R&D and production. Starting at EUR 1,250, the R&S RTB2000 offers functionality previously available only in oscilloscopes with a significantly higher price tag. It is the first in its class with a 10-bit vertical resolution and 10 MSample per channel acquisition memory.
