RF conformance test system obtains PTCRB Certification
The LTE-Advanced RF Conformance Test System ME7873LA from Anritsu has obtained the world's first PTCRB certification as a RF conformance test system for the Three Downlink Carrier Aggregation (3DL CA) technology used mainly by the LTE-Advanced standard. The ME7873L, the world’s first GCF-validated RF test platform, is used for testing the RF TRX characteristics and performance of LTE/LTE-Advanced terminals to satisfy the 3GPP requirements.
LTE conformance tests get 100% automated solution
A solution to automate the execution of all 3GPP TS 36.523 LTE Conformance tests required for certification and pre-certification of mobile devices has been announced by Anritsu and COMPRION. Until now, achieving complete automation of GCF and PTCRB conformance tests was not possible as a number of tests required specific USIM profiles.
Software upgrades radio communication analyser capabilities
New LTE-Advanced Carrier Aggregation (CA) 4CC measurement software for the MT8821C Radio Communication Analyser, has been released by Anritsu, together with multiple new LTE-Advanced capabilities. The availability of the (MX882112C-041) software upgrade now makes the MT8821C a one box measurement solution for LTE-Advanced CA4CC tests.
O/E modules address optoelectronic device testing up to 110GHz
The MN4765B series of O/E modules for Anritsu’s MS4640B VectorStar Vector Network Analyser (VNA) family creates a cost-effective and flexible solution for measuring 56Gb/s components and transceivers used in telecommunications and data communications applications. The module, combined with the VNA, provides a simplified approach for optoelectronic measurements and is an economical alternative to conventional total-system approaches currentl...
ECOC 2015: Industry leaders demonstrate 400G Ecosystem
Four industry leaders have collaborated to demonstrate the industry’s first commercially available Research & Development platform for testing single-carrier coherent optical communication systems and components operating at 56GBaud and beyond at ECOC 2015 in Valencia, Spain.
Test set integrates BERT and sampling oscilloscope
The BERTWave MP2100B is an all-in-one test set from Anritsu with integrated BERT and sampling oscilloscope for developing and manufacturing Optical Modules. The test set is successor to the company’s MP2100A and provides more efficient evaluation of multichannel Optical Modules. Data Centres are urgently increasing the transmission capacity of their servers and network devices to meet the exploding demand for Cloud Computing services.
Test platform prepared for demo at ECOC 2015
The ECOC exhibition will provide the stage for Anritsu to demonstrate its recently released 64Gbps test platform for engineers investigating the latest Signal Integrity, Modulations, high speed PAM4 (pulse amplitude modulation) transmission techniques intended for use in 200Gbps and 400Gbps communications links.
RF measurement option speeds up field testing
A CPRI RF Measurement option for its BTS Master handheld base station analyser family has been introduced by Anritsu. It can reduce the operational expense (OpEx) associated with troubleshooting interference at base stations. The BTS Master-based CPRI RF measurement test set allows field engineers and technicians to conduct accurate RF measurements on Remote Radio Heads (RRHs) while remaining at ground level.
Interference monitor helps maximise network capacity
The introduction of its Remote Spectrum Monitor ushers in a new era of field wireless testing, claims Anritsu. Designed without a display or keyboard, Remote Spectrum Monitor automates the method of conducting radio surveillance, interference detection, and government spectrum policy enforcement while bringing greater flexibilities and cost efficiencies to network management.
Signal testing solution prioritises vehicle safety
New functionality has been added to Anritsu’s MD8475A network simulator, to provide the first laboratory hardware in the loop system level test for the European eCall systemand Russian ERA/GLONASS system. With vehicle safety at the forefront of automotive testing and development, ensuring the quickest response from emergency services in the event of a traffic accident could save millions of lives.
