Capacitors voltage rating raised to 500V
The maximum voltage rating of the Vishay BCcomponents 500 PGP-ST series of aluminum screw-terminal capacitors has been extended to 500V while more than doubling its useful life to 5000 hours at +85°C. As polarised aluminium electrolytic capacitors with a non-solid electrolyte, 500 PGP-ST series devices are optimised for DC-Linking in power conversion electronics rated at 20kW and above — including large motor drives, UPS systems, and so...
Disc capacitors enhanced by higher voltages
The Vishay Cera-Mite 715CxxKT series of ceramic screw-mounting disc capacitors has been expanded with higher voltages to 50kVDC (34kVRMS). With low AC and DC coefficients and a negligible piezoelectric / electrostrictive effect, 715CxxKT series capacitors are specifically designed to function in circuits with high peak current and high repetition rates.
Lead times cut on commercial IHLP inductors
To provide faster access to its most popular IHLP low profile, high current inductors, Vishay Intertechnology has introduced alternative versions of its commercial style IHLP with shorter lead times of 8 to 10 weeks. The devices offer designers alternatives to Vishay's 10 best-selling series of commercial, standard IHLP inductors that currently have extended lead times.
Space-vector modulation adapted for 8-bit MCU
SPINnaker is a motor control daughter board from Future Electronics for low cost SPACE-Vector-Modulation build for the STMicroelectronics Nucleo-8S208RB kit, a development platform for the STM8S series of low-cost 8-bit microcontrollers board. It is being debuted and demonstrated at embedded world 2019 in Nuremberg (February 26-28).
Automotive grade sensor saves space, adds design flexibility
The Optoelectronics group of Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a fully integrated Automotive Grade proximity and ambient light sensor with four different slave address options. Featuring Filtron technology, the Vishay Semiconductors VCNL4030X01 combines photo detectors for proximity and ambient light, a signal conditioning IC, a 16-bit ADC, and a high power IRED in one compact 4 mm by 2.36 mm by 0.75 mm surface-mount package.
Optocouplers are latch-up and oscillation free
A series of 1MBd high speed optocouplers featuring an open collector transistor output with Schmitt-Trigger functionality for easy integration into digital systems have been released by Vishay. The VOH1016A series devices provide a low typical turn-on threshold current of 0.65 mA and maximum supply current of 1.0 mA, and are designed for programmable logic controllers, serial data communication and bus systems, and switch mode power supplies.
EMI suppression film capacitors offer greater robustness
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced the F339X2 305VAC series of Automotive Grade X2 electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression film capacitors for standard across the line applications (50 Hz / 60 Hz). The capacitors are qualified to both AEC-Q200 (rev. D) and IEC 60384-14: 2013 / AMD1: 2016 grade IIB.
Drop-in IR transducer module bypasses pcb redesigns
PCB redesigns can now be avoided using a device for IrDA-compliant infrared (IR) transceiver modules in the standard 6.8 mm by 2.8 mm by 1.6 mm footprint. Vishay Semiconductors' TFBR4650 offers a reliable drop-in replacement for devices from other manufacturers.
microBUCK regulator delivers up to 75W output power
The power ICs line at New Yorker Electronics has been upgraded by the Vishay Siliconix SiC462 4.5V to 60V Synchronous microBUCK Regulator. The SiC462 is a synchronous buck regulator with integrated high-side and low-side power MOSFETs. It is a high-efficiency buck regulator with a power state capable of supplying a continuous current of 6A at a switching frequency of up to 1MHz.
Vishay reveals technology slate for electronica
Vishay Intertechnology has announced its technology lineup for electronica 2018 in Munich (November 13-16). In its main booth C4.421-422 and Automotive Innovation booth B4.W07-W10 — both new locations for the company this year — the company will be exhibiting its latest passive and semiconductor component, optoelectronic, and sensor technologies for a wide range of applications.
