Multifaceted IoT sensor platform supports battery-free operation
ON Semiconductor and RFMicron have developed a game-changing ‘plug-and-play’ development tool to speed the deployment of wireless passive sensor solutions onto any IoT cloud platform. The IoT Platform Development Kit brings together a series of performance-optimised computing and connectivity modules to facilitate quick and effective deployment of battery-free wireless sensing technology and IoT hardware in locations where power and sp...
PXI, PCI switching solutions set for ElectroTest Expo
A broad catalogue of PXI, Ethernet LXI and PCI switching solutions will be deomstrated by Pickering Interfaces at ElectroTest Expo in Culham Oxfordshire (March 2). These products include Pickering’sPXI BRIC Large Matrices, RF Matrices, Microwave Multiplexers, LXI Chassis, PCI RF Matrices and High-Density Multiplexers.
Rectangular HDCs operate reliably in harsh environments
At SPS IPC Drives 2015 in Nuremberg, TE Connectivity launched a range of rectangular HDCs (Heavy Duty Connectors), suitable for applications in harsh environments within machinery, robotics, railway, wind energy and conventional energy generation and distribution. The product range utilises a modular design, enabling customers to realise a structured approach to install equipment conveniently and efficiently.
Potentiometer switch offers dual control options
Electro-Mech’s new SW44994 potentiometer switch assembly offers both rotary and push-on/pull-off functionality for maximum operation control. The compact all-in-one unit saves valuable panel space in applications where there are tight design limitations.
Delta High Power AC Motor Drive C2000 Series Offers Flexibility and User-Friendliness
Delta Group showed its high power Field Oriented Control Drive C2000 Series from November 24th to 26th at SPS/IPC/Drives/Nuremberg 2015.Applications & Features.
An array of connectors on show at SPS IPC Drives
At the SPS IPC Drives exhibition on 24th-26th November, ODU will be presenting its electrical connector technology. In addition to hybrid connectors and the miniaturised High-Density series, the ODU-MAC will take centre stage at the trade fair.
High efficiency 76V DC/DC buck converter
The SPS IPC Drives show recently saw ROHM introduce its new 12 to 76V input, 3A variable output voltage, DC/DC Buck converter with an integrated 76V MOSFET optimised for high power (high voltage x large current) applications such as motors, factory automation equipment, communications infrastructure, and industrial machinery.
Increased energy saving in industrial applications
ROHM’s recently announced AC/DC converter control IC, designed specifically for SiC MOSFETs in industrial equipment such as servers and other large power applications, was showcased at SPS IPC Drives. The BD7682FJ-LB allows the easy implementation of SiC-MOSFETs to an AC/DC converter which has proved challenging when using discrete configurations due to the large number of components required.
Power modules for high performance switching
The SPS IPC Drives show in Nuremberg saw ROHM launch its IPM (Intelligent Power Module) family optimised for high speed and power efficient operation in motor driving. The 600V modules integrate a range of components such as gate drivers, bootstrap diodes, IGBTs or ROHM’s proprietary Low Ron SuperJunction Power MOSFETs (PrestoMOS) as well as a fly wheel diode (FWD) within a single compact package.
Partnership promises industrial anti-counterfeiting solutions
Renesas Electronics Europe and Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) have announced their collaboration on industrial security solutions and services. Their first solution focuses on anti-counterfeiting solutions for industrial products and will be demonstrated at the SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg (November 24th-26th) by Renesas on stand 6-445.
