Compact sensor dies for automotive and IoT applications
New miniaturised EPCOS MEMS pressure sensor dies have been announced by TDK. The automotive versions of the C33 series have dimensions of 1x1x0.4mm, making them what the company claims to be one of the smallest of their kind. They are designed for absolute pressures of 1.2-10 bar, and are qualified based on AEC-Q101. The typical operating voltage is 3V. With a supply voltage of 5V they offer sensitivities of between 15-80mV/bar, depending on the ...
Automotive magnetic sensor industry to be worth $2.5bn by 2022
The magnetic sensor market should reach almost $2.5bn in 2022, following seven percentCAGR between 2016 and 2022. Driven by the automotive applications and the introduction of the magnetoresistive technologies, the market is showing steady growth. According to Yole Développement (Yole), future mergers and acquisitions are expected to allow companies to ensure their market positioning and penetrate new market segments.
Medical power supplies operate in temperatures up to 80°C
TDK Corporation has announced the introduction of the TDK-Lambda brand CUS150M series of AC/DC power supplies capable of operating in ambient temperatures of up to 80°C without the need for forced air cooling. Available in four package types and delivering up to 150W output power, the power supplies are suitable for use in both Class I or Class II (double insulated) installations.
