Hirose's waterproof USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C connector reduces footprint
Hirose has launched a rugged, waterproof USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C connector for applications that require miniaturisation with resistance to liquid, vibration and/or shock. Requiring a mounting area 22% smaller than other receptacles on the market, the mid-mount CX90MW Series offers reliable, high-speed performance in a PCB space-saving design.
Product innovation to propel wearable cardiac devices market
According to reliable reports, theglobal wearable cardiac devices market size was valued at $1.2bn in 2019 and is poised to record a CAGR of 24.2% through 2026.Mounting adoption of remote patient-monitoring systems and devices in healthcare sector is anticipated to give wearable cardiac devices market share a substantial boost over the estimated timeframe.
ESA launches a small satellite carrying VTT’s remote sensing technology
The European Space Agency (ESA) has launched 42 tiny satellites aboard a Vega rocket. It took off from ESA’s launch site in French Guiana on 2nd September local time. One of the launched nanosatellites, PICASSO, carries remote sensing technology developed and built by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. It will be used to take scientific measurements in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
Ultra-compact angled SMT D-Sub connector for industrial applications
Provertha has announced a D-Sub connector range for a wide variety of applications and now also has a 9-pin slimline version for industrial applications in its portfolio. The high-performance D-Sub connector from the TMC series in slimline design reduces the required PCB area by up to 33% compared to a conventional D-Sub due to its 90° angled SMT terminations in ultra-flat design.
Electronic assemblies without PCBs from Harting
LDS enables the production of electronic assemblies with flexible geometric shapes. This process enables electronic products (such as smart phones, sensors or medical devices) to become even smaller and more powerful. Automated manufacturing processes also make this process more economically attractive.
Motor vehicle sensor market to reach $75,447.5m by 2027
Automotive sensors or also referred to as motor vehicle sensors monitor and control physical and chemical changes in automobiles. These sensors are used to reduce fuel consumption and decrease weight of the vehicle and also increase government regulations.
Die attach adhesive for semiconductor applications
DELO has launched a new die attach adhesive to replace the previous DELO MONOPOX MK096. DELO MONOPOX EG2596 features high strength even after aging and can be dispensed even more precisely than its predecessor.
Safe design of portable med-tech
One prevailing trend in the medical industry in recent years, has been the increase in the portability and miniaturisation of medical devices. This boasts numerous benefits for on-the-go healthcare and allows for valuable equipment to be transported between hospital departments far more easily. However, it can pose a challenge for medical device design engineers, in terms of safely balancing a compact profile with effective power. We posed some i...
Han 1A rectangular connectors as a new Ethernet interface
Ethernet-based data networks have become indispensable in the industrial arena. Ethernet networks are connecting sensors, machinery, control systems, computers and data centres. HARTING has announced that it now offers expedient interfaces in the form of its Han 1A series of miniaturised industrial connectors.
ERNI has supplied over 300 million SMC connectors
With the SMC connectors (small multiple connector) family introduced in the late 1990s, ERNI developed a pure SMT connector system. In addition to SMT as the termination method, the aim was to reduce the DIN pitch from 2.54mm to 1.27mm and thus to advance miniaturisation.
