Power supply solutions for Oil & Gas applications at ADIPEC
AEG Power Solutions will be showing its latest UPS and industrial chargers at the ADIPEC event (stand 8530E) in Abu Dhabi, on the 9th to 12th November 2015. At the event, AEG PS will display its full industrial range of solutions which meet the most stringent international standards to guarantee power supply to mission-critical applications in the up, mid and downstream segments of the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industry.
High power line passive harmonic filters are now available enclosed
By introducing IP23 and IP54 cabinet versions of the high-power passive harmonic filters, Schaffner enables an easier installation, wiring and commissioning of the high-end filters in portfolio for AC or DC motor drive applications. The recent filter series with designations FN 341X-XXX-99-E2 (IP23) and FN 341X-XXX-99-E5 (IP54) are ready to use filters wired and installed in a cabinet enclosure which best fits the application and environment.
Schaffner ECOsine High Power Line Passive Harmonic Filters are now available Enclosed
The Schaffner Group further broadens its product offering in the field of power quality. The ECOsine High Power Line passive harmonic filters are now also available in two cabinet versions with protection class IP23 and IP54.
Innovative single-wire, 2-pin EEPROM is self-powered
Hailed as the industry’s most innovative single-wire EEPROM with only two-pins (a data pin and ground pin for operation), the AT21CS01 family has been unveiled by Atmel. Suited for IoT, wearable, consumable, battery and cable identification applications, the devices are self-powered, eliminating the need for a power source or Vcc pin, with a parasitic power scheme over the data pin.
Ultrafast recovery rectifiers increase power density
Vishay Intertechnology has introduced four 1 and 2A FRED Pt Ultrafast recovery rectifiers in the compact low-profile SMF (DO-219AB) eSMP series package. Combining extremely fast and soft recovery characteristics with low leakage current and low forward voltage drop, the AEC-Q101-qualified devices reduce switching losses and power dissipation in automotive and telecomms applications.
Hyper-fast rectifier is suited for PFC applications
Designed specifically for use as a boost diode for PFC and continuous conduction mode applications, the DSR8F600 has been introduced by Diodes Incorporated. The 600V, 8A rectifier features a hyper-fast 20ns reverse-recovery time which reduces PFC MOSFET switching losses, increases switching speed and improves energy efficiency.
Power management chipset optimises dead time
Texas Instruments has introduced the first PMIC chipset with intelligent digital control and a unique body-diode sensing feature to optimise secondary-side synchronous rectification in next-gen AC/DC and isolated DC/DC power supplies. The UCD3138A digital controller and UCD7138 low-side gate driver improve system efficiency and halve synchronous rectification MOSFET voltage stress compared to other digital-power solutions.
Reliable transformer rectifiers offer 1000kW
DP Energy Services (Formerly Drake Power) has announced its Powerstax-Drake series of Transformer Rectifiers, offering output voltages from 2 to 600V, output currents of up to 5,000A and output power up to 1000kW. These are 3 phase input, primary or secondary thyristor controlled units, with switch-mode technology available for smaller systems.
SJTs exhibit low on-state & switching losses
Enabling low Turn-On energy losses while offering flexible, modular designs in high frequency power converters,GeneSiC has introduced 20mW, 1200V SiC Junction Transistor-Diodes in an isolated, 4-leaded mini-module package. High frequency, high voltage, low R(ON)SiC Transistors and Rectifiers reduce the size, weight and volume of electronics applications requiring higher power handling at high operating frequencies.
10-30A rectifiers provide fast & soft recovery characteristics
Vishay has introduced 16 10-30A FRED PtHyperfast and Ultrafast recovery rectifiers in the low-profile SMPD (TO-263AC) package. Combining extremely fast and soft recovery characteristics with low leakage current and low forward voltage drop, the rectifiers reduce switching losses and over-dissipation in automotive and telecomms applications while providing a high-density alternative to the TO-263 (D²PAK) package.
