VCO's low phase noise suits satellite communications
Z-Communications has announced an RoHS-compliant VCO model CRO3650B-LF, guaranteed to cover 3600-3700MHz within a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5VDC. The high-performance VCO features a spectrally clean signal of -101dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 60MHz/V.
Compact microwave power module meets defence needs
Link Microtek is selling a switchable Ka/Q-band microwave power module (MPM) that provides highly compact power-amplifier functionality for defence and aerospace applications where size and weight are key considerations. Designed and manufactured by L-3 Electron Devices, the M2837 module delivers more than 100W of saturated CW power at Ka-band frequencies from 29.5 to 31.0GHz and over 80W at Q-band frequencies from 43.5 to 45.5GHz.
IDT Announces New Internally Matched Broadband RF VGA with Ultra-High Linearity
Integrated Device Technology, Inc today introduced the F0480, an internally matched 400 to 2700 MHz broadband radio frequency (RF) variable gain amplifier (VGA) designed to simplify the design process while ensuring a more reliable implementation. The device delivers exceptional RF performance by combining IDT’s unique Glitch-FreeTM digital step attenuator, and Zero-DistortionTM technologies in a compact 5x5 package.
MIMO antenna systems advanced communication
MIMO systems are a major field of study for researchers interested in achieving high data rate communication in typical urban multi-path environments. Although a fast analysis can be based on S-parameters, this approach has limitations. A more detailed analysis needs to take into account broadband, farfield and antenna properties. These are especially important in presence of the human body.
Ciao! UK welcomes low noise amplifier range
Aspen Electronics has exclusive distribution rights in the UK for the range of Low Noise RF & Microwave Amplifiers from specialist US manufacturer Ciao Wireless. The range features narrow band and broadband amplifiers up to 45GHz for both Military and Commercial Industries. A recent development is the “Ultra Low Noise” range that, for a narrow band amplifier in the range 1.0 to 3.0GHz, can offer Noise Figures as low as 0.3dB.
Robust cable assemblies measure DC to 40GHz frequency range
Radiall's TestPro cable assembles designed specifically for testing and measurement in the DC - 40GHz frequency range, depending on connector and cable selected are avaialble from TTI. The cables offer outstanding electrical performance combined with mechanical robustness and durability for a long service life.
LXI & PXI switching solutions to be exhibited
At this year's electronica, from 11th to 14th November 2014 in Munich, Pickering Interfaces will be exhibiting LXI and PXI switching solutions. These solutions include thePXI Signal Insertion and Monitor Matrix, the updated PXI Large Matrix BRIC, the updated PXI Microwave Multiplexer and theLXI High-Density Matrix.
Microwave & RF range supports frequencies of up to 110GHz
A range of microwave and RF cable assemblies, connectors and adaptors has been introduced by GTK. Manufactured across a range of family sizes, from standard through to ultra-miniature, the devices support frequencies of up 110GHz.
Spectrum analyser sets new price/performance threshold
There has been a shift in the spectrum analyser market. Customers are demanding more and more instantaneous bandwidth and frequency range which is pushing up the price of these instruments. So much so that some customer can’t afford them – they are not willing to pay the premium for a high-end instrument.
VNA price performance earns Frost & Sullivan award
Anritsu’s ShockLine family has been it has won the Frost & Sullivan 2014 Price-to-Performance Leadership award in the Vector Network Analyser (VNA) market. Frost & Sullivan noted that the ShockLine family addresses the need for economical VNAs with the necessary performance to accurately test passive devices.
