Texas Instruments in collaboration with Azcom Technology, a leading provider of services and solutions in the wireless communications domain, today announced the availability of a new small cell base station platform focused on 3G and 4G high speed data systems. Based on TI’s KeyStone multicore architecture and industry leading TMS320C66x digital signal processor (DSP) core, the TMDXSCBP6616X supports multi-carrier HSPA+ systems as well as ...
Low Cost 32-bit Digital Signal Controller
Texas Instruments has added four low cost members to the TMS320F280xx digital signal controller series targeted at motor control, digital power conversion and intelligent sensor control applications. The new TMS320F28015 and F28016 controllers offer 60MHz of performance starting as low as $3.25 (in 1Ku quantities) while the new TMS320F2801-60 and F2802-60 controllers also offer 60 MHz of performance and are based on the current TMS320F2801 and F2...
TI delivers highest efficiency 4A switch buck-boost converter in 60 percent less board space
Texas Instruments introduced the industry’s smallest and highest performance buck-boost converter with a 4-A switch and up to 96 percent efficiency. The TPS63020 power management integrated circuit (IC) helps extend battery life in smartphones, portable medical equipment, DLP® pico projectors and other battery-powered multimedia devices.
National Instruments Extends Oscilloscope Offering to 2 GS/s Real-Time, 20 GS/s Equivalent-Time Sampling
National Instruments has announced its NI PXI-5152 general-purpose digitiser/oscilloscope, which extends the company’s digitiser offering to 2 GS/s by providing a 1 GS/s real-time sampling rate on two simultaneous channels or 2 GS/s on one channel. For repetitive signals, engineers can use the module’s equivalent-time sampling (ETS) mode to sample at up to 20 GS/s.
IDT ANNOUNCES INDUSTRY’S FIRST PRE-PROCESSING SOLUTION OPTIMIZED FOR MODULAR, LOW COST, SCALABLE AND FLEXIBLE 3G BASE STATIONS
IDT™ (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.), a leading provider of low-power, mixed-signal semiconductor solutions, announces its second generation pre-processing switch, the PPS Gen 2, an innovative, off-the-shelf solution that addresses the interconnect and acceleration needs of 3G and beyond. Leveraging the serial RapidIO® (sRIO) interconnect standard, and offering a reduced port count together with a richer feature set, the PPS Gen 2 is opti...
IDT Unveils the World’s First Ultra-low-power ±50 ppm CrystalFree CMOS Oscillators
Integrated Device Technology has announced that it has released the industry’s first CMOS oscillators to feature a breakthrough ±50 ppm frequency accuracy and ultra-low power consumption. The new devices replace traditional quartz crystal-based oscillators (XOs) for up to 75% power savings in any of a broad range of applications requiring a ±50 ppm timing reference, including computing, communications, and consumer markets. IDT’s new 3LG fa...
Jitter Attenuator with 250MHz Reference Clock
IDT has announced the introduction of a jitter attenuator optimized for the Xilinx Virtex-4 family of FPGAs. Designed to support PCI Express (PCIe), this component is said to be the industry’s first timing device capable of attenuating or “cleaning” the jitter from a 100 MHz PCIe input clock, while translating it to a 250 MHz LVDS output.
Renesas Electronics Expands 32-bit RX600 Microcontroller Family with Digital Power Control Series
Renesas Electronics today expanded its RX600 microcontroller (MCU) family with the new 32-bit RX62G group. The MCUs are optimized for digital power control applications, including motor control with power factor correction (PFC), digital power supply, uninterrupted power supplies (UPS) and solar inverters.
