Solving challenging imaging problems
STEMMER IMAGING’s novel Trevista Surface 50 inspection system is supplied complete with structured diffuse illumination, lens, software, PC and a 5MP Genie TS camera from Teledyne DALSA. Using a patented 'shape from shading' technology, information on the 3D shape of an object can be deduced from the shading of its surfaces. This allows defects of just a few micrometre diameter and depth to be detected on a variety of material surfaces.
Visitors to the show can bring their own samples along to put this to the test.
Also on show will be a high speed imaging system which will show image sequences produced from a miniature roller coaster system. The sequences are generated from high speed images acquired into the ring buffer of Common Vision Blox (CVB), STEMMER IMAGING’s own hardware-independent imaging toolkit.
The random movement tracking system illustrates the use of the ShapeFinder tool also from Common Vision Blox. CVB ShapeFinder uses object recognition based on geometric information. It is a search tool for determining the position of objects on the basis of their internal and external contour points.
