Extending further with line scan technology
STEMMER IMAGINING continues to offer a range of line scan technology, with the addition of the first colour TDI (Time Delay Integration) line scan cameras for machine vision from Teledyne DALSA. This enables it to work in partnership with customers to provide successful line scan solutions in the most challenging imaging projects.
Machine vision award goes to Bloodhound SSC imaging system
The award for the ‘Most Innovative Vision Project’ at the PPMA (Processing and Packaging Machinery Association) Group Awards went to STEMMER IMAGING, for the supply and integration of 25 cameras on the Bloodhound Supersonic Car.
Partnership brings Specim FX hyperspectral cameras
A partnership agreement has been signed between Stemmer Imaging and Finnish manufacturer Specim, for the distribution of spectrographs and the FX series of hyperspectral cameras, through all its European subsidiaries.
PPMA Total Show brings hyperspectral imaging
New hyperspectral imaging capabilities will be shown off for the first time at the PPMA Total Show, by STEMMER IMAGAING. The technique will reveal chemical composition information and has applications in the pharmaceutical, medical and food processing industries. Teledyne DALSA’s Boa Pro smart camera, embedded with advanced Sherlock vision software and a multi-camera packing inspection system will also be on show.
Accelerate robust pattern recognition & pose estimation
STEMMER IMAGING is extending its machine vision software library Common Vision Blox (CVB) with the CVB Polimago tool, which enables robust recognition rates at high speed. During the teaching phase, CVB Polimago automatically generates thousands of training images which significantly reduces the effort for the user.
Vision Technology Forum scheduled for 2016
STEMMER IMAGING’s UK Vision Technology Forum will take place on the 3rd March 2016. This is part of a series of Europe-wide Vision Technology Forums organised by STEMMER IMAGING and the European Imaging Academy and will once again be held at the Silverstone Wing Exhibition and Conference Centre in Towcester, Northamptonshire, UK.
Solving challenging imaging problems
STEMMER IMAGING’s novel Trevista Surface 50 inspection system is supplied complete with structured diffuse illumination, lens, software, PC and a 5MP Genie TS camera from Teledyne DALSA. Using a patented 'shape from shading' technology, information on the 3D shape of an object can be deduced from the shading of its surfaces. This allows defects of just a few micrometre diameter and depth to be detected on a variety of material surfaces.
Lens additions bring machine vision into sharper focus
New products developed for high resolution machine vision solutions have been added to the Stemmer Imaging lens portfolio. Ricoh´s FL-BC series is a family of compact lenses for 9 megapixel cameras with sensor size up to 1in-CCD and focal lengths from 25 up to 75mm. The apertures of the four models cover F1.8, F2.4 and F 2.8 and allow for minimum object distances between 100 and 250 mm.
Ultrafast 4-Channel Gigabit PoE Embedded Vision System
The ultrafast ADLINK EOS-1200 embedded vision system is now available from STEMMER IMAGING. Featuring a 2nd Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 Processor and four independent PoE ports with a total data transfer rate up to 4.0 Gb/s, the EOS-1200 combines powerful computing with multi-channel connectivity and a ready-to-deploy application platform for industrial automation, robot guidance and 3D vision.
Ultra Fast GigE Frame Grabbers With On Board FPGA Processing
A new family of FPGA-based GigE frame grabbers is now available from STEMMER IMAGING. The Silicon Software microEnable IV AQ4-GE and VQ4-GE can accommodate up to 4 GigE cameras simultaneously. The on-board FPGA provides real-time image processing significantly reducing the load on the host CPU. Both frame grabbers are also available in PoE (Power Over Ethernet) versions.
