18W Plug Top Power supplies with interchangeable input plugs

PowerPax UK has announced the launch of a new range of 18W, regulated, Plug top power supplies with interchangeable input plugs. Designed for worldwide use the TD_V series offers a universal input of 100 – 240VAC, 50 – 60Hz and input plugs to cover the UK, Europe, USA, Australia, China and Korea. Input protection includes inrush limiting and an internal primary fuse. These power supplies feature Green mode technology and comply with CEC and EUP requirements with no load power consumption of less than 0.5W.

This series offers regulated single outputs of 18W in the range of 4.5V to 24V DC and includes output protection for short circuit, overvoltage and over current conditions. The output load regulation is ±5% with peak to peak ripple and noise of 2% max at full load. The output plug is a 2.1 x 5.5 x 12mm centre positive female power jack as standard but other connector options are available upon customer request.

This range is fully approved for both safety and EMC. Safety approvals include CB, CE, UL, cUL, PSE, BSMI, LPS, GS and RCM. EMC compliance includes EN55022B for conducted and radiated emissions, EN61000-3-2, 3 for harmonic current, EN61000-4-2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 11 for EMS immunity.

The power supply is housed in a black plastic case with dimensions of 76 x 52 x 39mm and weighs 158g. This series is designed to operate over a temperature range of 0˚C to +40˚C and non-condensing humidity in the range of 20% to 80%. Cooling is via natural convection and the series has a calculated MTBF of 50K hours at 25˚C based on MIL-HDBK 217F.
