IRC Increases Power Ratings of Pulse-Withstanding Chip Resistors
Providing design engineers with a higher wattage device without increasing the package size, TT electronics IRC has increased the power ratings of its PWC Series resistors. IRC now offers the pulse-withstanding chip resistors in 1/2W (1206 size, increased from 1/3W); 1W (2010 size, increased from 3/4W); and 2W (2512 size, increased from 1.5W).
“I
ncreasing the power ratings provides our customers with an excellent alternative to multi-chip solutions, while saving both PC board space and manufacturing costs,” said Gary Bleasdell, director of IRC’s thick film business unit. “Along with the increased power ratings, the PWC Series resistors also feature high surge and high voltage ratings, making them extremely stable in demanding surge and pulse environments.” Providing design engineers with a higher wattage device without increasing the package size, TT electronics IRC has increased the power ratings of its PWC Series
