Murata Commercialise World First Monolithic Ceramic Capacitors

Electronic equipment is becoming increasingly more advanced with an expanding range of functions, and, as a result, the operating temperatures of sets are increasing, raising the need for higher guaranteed operating temperatures and higher capacities.

In response, Murata has successfully expanded the capacity of monolithic ceramic capacitors that are built into all kinds of electronic equipment, with guaranteed operating temperatures of 105°C and 125°C.

The capacitors are part of the existing GRM series line-up of monolithic ceramic capacitors. Mass production commenced during April 2013.
