IEPE/Charge signal conditioners suit triaxial accelerometers
DJB Instruments UK has announced the launch of its 9 channel IEPE/Charge signal conditioner, suitable for use with triaxial accelerometers. The CV9 range of products offers nine channels of conditioning, all packaged in a 1U high, 19” rack mountable chassis with BNC inputs and outputs mounted on the front panel for ease of access.
The CV9 is available in three versions, -V, -C and -CV. The CV9-V offers IEPE signal conditioning for all ICP/IEPE accelerometers and other sensors, with x1, x10 and x100 gain, selectable per channel and with variable current source internally selectable via jumpers from 2 to 20mA. The CV9-C offers charge signal conditioning with x1, x10, x100 gain via front panel switches, and each channel can be selected independently for gain.
The CV9-CV combines charge and IEPE/ICP available per channel, each independently selectable, enabling the unit to operate with a mix of IEPE and charge channels. Each channel has x1, x10 and x100 gain with user selectable 2-20mA current source in IEPE mode.
All three versions also offer a multi colour LED indicator for short circuit/open circuit/correct connection for each channel as well as quick set up via front panel switches and universal BNC connectors. This first release will be followed shortly with a DC powered version and then a software controllable option.
The CV9 range is supported by DJB’s wide range of high temperature IEPE voltage accels (185°C), charge output accelerometers, cable assembly and repair solutions in addition to its modular range of instrumentation.
“Yet again DJB Instruments leads the way by producing products that reflect the needs of the market rather than following the trends of other suppliers,” said Neill Ovenden, Managing Director, DJB. “We still sell a significant proportion of charge output accelerometers but also see a general shift towards IEPE voltage output types, so a combined Charge/IEPE signal conditioner is ideal. In addition in the world of accelerometers 9 channels makes more sense than 8 so we designed the unit to enable users to have 9 channel functionality within the same compact 1U chassis they will be used to.”
