New range of MEMS DC response accelerometers launched
DJB Instruments has announced the launch of a complete range of MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) DC response variable capacitance accelerometers that extends its traditional range of piezoelectric and IEPE accelerometers used in the R&D and industrial sectors.
Duo join to stage vibration measurement training day
DJB Instruments UK is to stage its first joint training event with Prosig. Both companies have offered proven training programmes in their individual fields for many years and by combining forces they plan to offer customers a more complete solution to enlighten them on vibration measurements from the sensor through acquisition to software analysis.
In-line signal conditioner has low impedance line drive
DJB Instruments has announced the QV/04 in-line signal conditioner which joins the QV/02 and replaces the outgoing QV/01. All products in the QV range of in-line converters provide charge/voltage conversion when supplied with a standard IEPE supply current in the range of 4-20mA.
Voltage source piezoelectric accelerometer weighs just 1.9g
A miniature teardrop integral electronics voltage source piezoelectric accelerometer, the A/127/V has been introduced by DJB Instruments. It uses the unique Konic shear ceramic sensing element developed by DJB Instruments founder Don Birchall which offers unrivalled performance in areas such as cross axis repeatability and temperature stability.
IEPE/Charge signal conditioners suit triaxial accelerometers
DJB Instruments UK has announced the launch of its 9 channel IEPE/Charge signal conditioner, suitable for use with triaxial accelerometers. The CV9 range of products offers nine channels of conditioning, all packaged in a 1U high, 19” rack mountable chassis with BNC inputs and outputs mounted on the front panel for ease of access.
Triaxial IEPE accelerometer undergoes redesign
A revised version of the AT/10 miniature triaxial IEPE accelerometer has been launched by DJB Instruments UK. Using the industry standard ¼-28 UNF single 4-pin connector the AT/10 has been through a redesign to enable it to be produced to the full high temperature specification of 185°C.
IEPE traxial accelerometer sets record 900°C
A water cooled IEPE (Integrated Electronic Piezoelectric) traxial accelerometer from DJB Instruments has set a record high of 900°C. Despite being specified by the company for up to 800°C, the accelerometer is regularly used by customers above this recommended level and therefore DJB Instruments is interested in finding potential applications for the accelerometer that would test it beyond 900°C.
Battery power supply and sensor simulator for IEPE accelerometers
Expanding the company's range of accelerometers and instrumentation, DJB Instruments has introduced two IEPE accessories. The VB/01 is a low cost battery powered single channel IEPE accelerometer supply which provides 4mA constant current supply at 18V DC. With LED indicators for power, short circuit and open circuit, it is suited for field testing where no mains power is available.
Significant breakthrough in high temperature voltage accelerometer technology
A new range of piezo-electric voltage accelerometers is available that works in high temperature environments - at up to 22185°C with a further increase to 225°C just around the corner.
