Mixed Signal/Analog
2.6GHz ADC is optimised for aerospace & defence
Analog Devices has introduced a 2.6GHz ADC, engineered to address the high-bandwidth and dynamic-range needs of aerospace and defence applications. The 12-bit AD9625BBP-2.6 is optimised to match the frequency planning and signal sensitivity requirements of advanced electronic surveillance and counter-measure applications, such as radar systems, secure communications networks and electronic signals monitoring.
1.9W class-D audio amplifier extends battery life
Designed for audio systems that need to deliver a high sound pressure level output from a low supply voltage, a 1.9W class-D audio amplifier has been unveiled by Diodes Incorporated. A built-in boost converter generates the voltage rail for the output stage while using a battery-tracking automatic gain control to adjust the gain and limit battery current when the battery voltage is low, prolonging battery life.
12- & 14-bit pipelined ADCs provide up to 200MS/s
Featuring high performance of over 67dB SNR and over 96dB SFDR, two families of high-speed ADCs have been introduced by Microchip Technology. The MCP37DX0-200 and MCP372X0-200 families feature 12- and 14- bit pipelined ADCs with a maximum sampling rate of 200MS/s and enable high-precision measurements of fast input signals.
AFE integrates ADC driver to interface with sensors
A FET input AFE, introduced by Analog Devices, integrates an ADC driver to interface directly with current mode sensors such as photo diodes and highoutput impedance-voltage sensors. The ADA4350 integrates a FET input amplifier, switching network and ADC driver into a single package, which simplifies design and lowers power and PCB footprint by more than 50%, compared to discrete implementations.
Sensor delivers precision DC motor control
The ADA4571 Integrated AMR Angle Magnetic Sensor and Signal Conditioner from Analog Devices in on sale at Mouser Electronics. It is specifically designed to measure the motor shaft position in brushless DC motors while reducing noise and increasing torque, while meeting tighter environmental, noise and energy requirements.
DSCs are optimised for digital power applications
The 14-member dsPIC33EP “GS” family of DSCs (Digital Signal Controllers), introduced by Microchip, delivers the performance needed to implement more sophisticated non-linear, predictive and adaptive control algorithms at higher switching frequencies.
16-bit, 2.7Gs/s DAC delivers 80dBc SFDR
A 16-bit, 2.7Gs/s DAC optimised for high end broadband wired-and-wireless communications and radar applications has been released by Linear Technology. To meet the most stringent requirements of high end applications, the LTC2000A offers outstanding spectral purity of 80dBc SFDR at 50MHz output and 72dBc SFDR at 1080MHz output.
ADCs & DVGA combine for high performance & low power
Texas Instruments has announced ADS54J60, the industry’s first 16-bit 1-GS/s ADC, achieving over 70dBFS SNR at 1GS/s, as well as its high density four-channel 14-bit 500MSP/s ADC, the ADS54J54. To optimise the signal chain, TI’s 4.5GHz LMH6401 fully differential DVGA offers the widest bandwidth with DC coupling and allows signal acquisition of low and high frequencies without the limitation of baluns used in AC-coupled syste...
32-bit ADC enters distribution channel
The new AD7177-2 32-bit Sigma Delta Analogue to Digital Converter (ADC) from Analog Devices will make its debut in the distribution channel at Mouser Electronics. The device is a low noise 32-bit sigma delta (Σ-Δ) ADC with a true rail-to-rail input buffer and flexible scan rates. It can be configured as two fully differential, or four single-ended, analogue inputs with a channel scan rate of 10 kSPS.
