To meet the increasing demand for higher-density CMOS DDR4 SDRAMs, Alliance Memory has expanded its portfolio with two new 8Gb devices.

Swissbit has extended its range of miniaturised storage solutions with the launch of its EM-30 device with an e.MMC-5.1 standard interface. The BGA package combines a modern controller with industrial grade 3D-NAND and firmware that supports the most demanding applications. Available in capacities from 16 to 256GB, EM-30 offers significant cost savings over former 2D-NAND solutions.

To meet the growing demand for serial peripheral interface (SPI) NAND flash memory products in the automotive, industrial, communications, and consumer electronics markets, Alliance Memory has released the new AS5F series of 1.8V to 3V devices with densities from 1Gb to 8Gb and high-speed clock frequencies up to 120MHz.

To aid the design of defence projects, Apacer has successfully developed an anti-vibration server memory for defence applications. It’s called XR-LRDIMM (Extreme Rugged Load-Reduced DIMM), and it features strengthened shock and vibration resistance and reliability.

Alliance Memory is now an authorised reseller for Micron Technology’s discontinued M29F 5V parallel NOR Flash devices.

SMART Modular Technologies has announced new higher density 16GB and 32GB NVDIMMs which run at DDR4-3200 high speed bus rates. These products, incorporating Micron advanced DDR4 DRAM technology in combination with SMART’s high-speed PCB designs, significantly improve signal integrity, resulting in broader design margins even at the highest DDR4 bus speeds. 

Micron Technology has announced a fast discrete graphics memory solution, GDDR6X, the first to power system bandwidth up to 1 terabyte per second (TB/s). Working with NVIDIA, Micron debuted GDDR6X in the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 and GeForce RTX 3080 graphics processing units (GPUs), which are tailored to support the fast speeds that immersive, high-performance gaming applications demand.

Crucial, Micron’s global consumer brand of memory and storage, has announced the new Crucial X6 portable SSD (solid-state drive). This new transportable, ultra-sleek drive expands the company’s SSD portfolio and offers more value, capacity and performance options, making it well suited for customers who require instant access to all their digital content.

Swissbit has extended its renowned range of industrial SD memory cards with purposeful new products: the S-50 and S-56 series. Based on industrial grade 3D NAND technology, the new products integrate flash chips with a powerful controller and high-end firmware, which is aimed at delivering high reliability within a robust housing. They are manufactured in Swissbit’s own IATF 16949 certified fab.

Dialog Semiconductor has announced that its FusionHD NOR flash memories, which came to Dialog through its recent acquisition of Adesto Technologies, are fully compatible and qualified for use with Dialog’s SmartBond DA1469x family of Bluetooth low energy (BLE) microcontrollers (MCUs).
